MY FITNESS PAL Nutritional & Fitness App

Presentation by Powers Gray

Purpose of MyFitnessPal ■ MyFitnessPal gives users the capability to log meals and fitness regime quickly and as easy as possible. The reason the app is so easy is that it personalizes the experience the more you use it. ■ People are creatures of habit-thus, more than likely, we tend to eat the same foods over time. Studies reveal that having a consistent record of meals, the more likely you are to lose weight and live a healthier lifestyle!

Popular Features of MFP ■ Food Tracking/Logging: Choose from a large database of foods, and even restaurant menus and calculate your daily nutritional intake. Discover what nutrients you are lacking, as well as identify patterns in your diet. ■ Exercise Tracking: Similar to food logging, MFP contains a large database of popular fitness routines. Simply log your own, and begin tracking your success. ■ Community: MFP contains message boards of which allows users to communicate with others who have questions about the app or fitness in general. These message boards are also a place in which users can gain support from others.

How to adopt MFP ■ To begin using MFP, simply begin logging your meals by utilizing MFP’s database of foods, as well as restaurant menus. ■ The more you use the app, the more the app is personalized for you. MFP remembers past foods and fitness routines, in order to easily log them in the future!

Personal Usage ■ I am a MFP user, and have been so for about a year. I highly recommend the app, as I have been able to stay accountable to myself and my goals. ■ With the help of MFP, I have been able to easily identify poor habits, as well as opportunities for improvement. Initially, I thought it was only possible to be healthy by spending hundreds of dollars on personal trainers. MFP has saved my time and money with it’s easy use, and that it is completely free!
