Capacity Addition: NSPCL has been working on 600 MW capacity additions at Durgapur, Rourkela, Bhilai and MEL (Maharashtra Elektrosmelt Ltd., a subsidiary of SAIL) Chandrapur of SAIL plants which is as under: NSPCL, Durgapur - Addition of 3 X 45 MW Condensing Steam TG + 1X 7 MW BPTG with provision for supply of processed Steam to DSP. NSPCL, Rourkela - Addition of 2 X 60 MW Units within existing CPP-II NSPCL, Bhilai - Addition of 3rd 250 MW Unit. MEL, Chandrapur - Addition of 2 X 60 MW Units.
