Warm up activities:
the students talk about musical instruments (these they can use and these that they would like to learn playing, these which are popular at the present moment, these which are difficult to play) and about musical styles (their favourite and the least favourite ones, these which are popular in our country etc.)
explaining Key words: banjo, cello, clarinet, double bass, drums, flute, guitar, keyboard, piano, saxophone, trombone, trumpet, violin (musical instruments) and classical, country, western, flamenco, house, Irish folk, jazz, rap, reggae, rock, rock 'n' roll, salsa (musical styles), describing the photos using these words
Grammar focus: Question Tags
speaking about concerts in general and these the students have been to recently, especially using nouns and adjectives given: the music, the singing, the solos, the songs, the lightning, the special effects, the stage design, the sound, the words of the song, boring, brilliant, exciting, fantastic, poor, quite good, really loud, disappointing, spectacular, clear, distorted, easy/hard to understand
reading and analysing the text “Cardiff warms to Coldplay“ ; matching the titles and the paragraphs
students speak if they would like to go to one of Coldplay's concerts and answer the questions given
completing the tables which provide rules for question tags usage/forms and explaining
the Grammar Summary 14, p.144
completing the exercises given and providing more examples, especially while speaking about English speaking countries and other students, i.e. students express their opinion or knowledge using a question tag and asking for a confirmation

reading and putting the sentences given in the right place in the article
compound words – matching the words given and completing the compounds, which are used in sample sentences/expressions after that
