Commencement of Operations Prelude: Mithra, Consortium of Development Professionals is an upcoming support group in Social Development scenario, is a firm having its head quarters in the Tarnaka, Secunderabad, Andhra Pradesh, here by sharing details of experience in social development sector by providing technical expertisation to the respected organizations, Ingo’s, Corporate sectors Government Institutions

in Andhra

Pradesh. Mithra Consortium of Development Professionals is having three wings for Research and Documentation, Training and Capacity building and Project planning and Proposal writing. About 70 experienced development professionals from all

over India are associated with this Consortium.

These professionals share

expertise in Urban and rural sectors especially with themes like women & child development, NRM, livelihoods, RCH-HIV/AIDS, issues of the children Child labor, disaster preparedness, and Child trafficking. Mithra Consortium of Development Professionals is also enjoying good reputation of having some of the big and renowned NGO Networks, INGOs and Grass root level NGOs as our esteemed clients. Developing strategies for networking and designing advocacy strategies are one of our key expertise, which enables the Networks to move as a united and single force. One of the core values of Mithra are also to be accessible to the esteemed clients ranging from the Grass roots to INGOs, along with corporate sector having stakes in the Development Sectors, especially Mithra have working experience with Government of Andhra Pradesh which always emphasize on sustainable development in both urban and rural setups. However Mithra feels that, still there is a big gap in development sector in the form of transformation of technical inputs in to the regional languages which we are attempting to fill through our approach and strategies. Expertisation of Mithra : Participatory Methods are the most valued and concentrated in the group. All the work undertaken consist Participatory methods to empower communities, skill building of the staff to independently deal with development issues. Our competency in the area of health can be looked as TOT for staff involved in Health programs, Reproductive child health, Seasonality Health assessment through

support/trafficking etc)and Environment. Capacitating SHG groups on group dynamics, SHG concepts, book keeping, Gender development leader ship Development and especially in the field like assessment of

entrepreneur programs, and Micro credit plans., Our expertise in the field of education can be looked as Advocating for Child rights, life skill education, Child labour and child trafficking etc. Disaster preparedness is another crucial area where Mithra has proved its capacity and capability in developing contingency plans under community based disaster preparedness programs, having expertisation in developing urban community flood management includes psycho social care services/counseling plans based on the emerging issues. School disaster preparedness, School safety net plans are one of the crucial area in protecting the rights of the children. RESEARCH methodologies & Manual development is the nucleus of us and keeping us going. We have been working on Impact assessment Module preparation, Preparation of tools and systems monitoring and

evaluation, developing needs

assessment tools, conducting studies on different issues e.g. Disability, livelihoods etc.

Event management also one of the core area of MITHRA, which could able to organize workshops with SAMAJ vikasa under world bank project in urban set up. Along with research our major strength is documentation and Preparation of project proposals, Process documentation, Consolidation of field reports, Audit reports, Annual reports, Profile reports, and Media documentation One of the core strength of Mithra is Natural Resource Management.
