============================================================ 1. INSTALLATION TIPS ============================================================ If you're having trouble getting the Design Pack installed, this section contains tips that may help solve the problem. Problem:

Publisher cannot find the templates included in the Design Pack. Solution: The Design Pack has not been installed to your Publisher directory. You should run the Setup program again, and specify the location of Publisher on your machine. To locate Publisher on your hard disk, you should: (1) (2)

Run the File Manager. Choose the Search... command from the File menu.

(3) (4)

(5) (6) (7)

(8)

You should see the Search dialog box. In the Search For field, type "MSPUB.EXE". In the Start From field, type the letter of the hard disk which contains Publisher, for example "C:\" or "D:\". If you're not sure which drive, try "C:\". Make sure the Search All Subdirectories checkbox is checked. Click the OK button. Wait while the File Manager searches for the file. It should only take a minute. When the search is finished, you should see the Search Results dialog box. You should see a file listed in the box, for example "C:\MSPUB\MSPUB.EXE". The directory which contains Publisher is everything before "\MSPUB.EXE"; in this example, "C:\MSPUB". This is the directory you should enter during the Design Pack Setup. (If there are no files in the dialog box, go to step 2, and try searching on a different drive.)

Problem: There is not enough space on your computer's hard disk to install the Design Pack. Solution: The Design Pack must be installed into the same directory as Publisher. If there is not enough space on that drive to install the Design Pack, you need to make more room on the hard disk or choose to install fewer features. If there is enough space on the drive where Publisher is installed, there may not be enough space on the drive that contains Windows. You will need to free at least 2MB of space on the drive that contains Windows for the Setup program to install ALL of the Design Pack features. You'll need less if you don't want to install the TrueType fonts or Microsoft Draw. Problem: The TrueType fonts do not appear in Publisher. Solution: TrueType fonts are only available if you have Windows version 3.1. If you have Windows version 3.1, and the fonts are still not available, please refer to your Windows manual for more information on TrueType. ============================================================ 2. WHAT DESIGN PACK FILES DO ============================================================ This section lists each file installed with the Design Pack and gives a brief description of each one. Design Pack File Descriptions -----------------------------------------------------------Under each directory name is a list of the files stored within the directory.
