[1/2] Meet Ms. Memerissa España. She is a small entrepreneur in the remote barangay of Suklayin in Baler, Aurora. Being confined in a small village miles away from cities, Mene Crafts and Things only relied on customers from Baler and nearby towns. Motivated to expand her business, Ms. España sought the assistance of DOST through Small Enterprise Technology Upgrading Program (SETUP) and oneSTore. The latter has provided the opportunity for Mene Crafts and Things to reach people beyond its vicinity.
[2/2] Just recently, a customer in Paris, France reached out to oneSTore and voiced out his interest in purchasing fans manufactured by Mene Crafts and Things. He wanted to use these fans as souvenirs for the Philippine Independence Day Reception organized by the Philippine Embassy in Paris on 15 June 2017 at the Musée de la Marine. Even though oneSTore does not carry out international transactions yet, DOST wanted to make it possible for Mene. So the team coordinated with the customer in Paris and Mene, presented several options and agreed to a common process. The efforts made by all parties paid off in the end when Mene’s fans have reached the City of Lights. Photo cred: DTI Paris Facebook Page
