MEH Internet Safety Curriculum/Training Action Plan GOAL STATEMENT
OBJECTIVES
Inform instructional staff of Internet Safety resources (including i-Safe)
Instructional Staff begin i- Learn training
Create Internet Safety/Digital Citizenship resource page
Staff becomes familiar with available i-Safe curriculum and delivers lessons when appropriate/fits in with existing curriculum
FCCPS goal is to provide access to i-Safe (plus additional relevant resources) and staff development components to all instructional staff to support the Virginia state goal of ” requiring schools to integrate Internet safety into their curriculum”. More info here>>> ACTIVITIES POSITION DUE EXPECTED RESULTS RESPONSIBLE DATE Team meetings Sparrgrove May Staff bring concerns to team leaders Brainstorm creation of resource page to cover topics related to Tech Specialists May/Jun List of ideas assembled safety and digital citizenship and actions established Send Individual School i-Safe Email Blast at predetermined time Designated staff begins self-paced i-Learn training (could be done during planning time, after school, short Wednesdays, at home) Instructional staff continues to complete the i-Learn components of “Cyber Community Issues” and “Intellectual Property” on their own or Wednesday afternoons Instructional staff uses i-Safe lessons when they fit into lessons Continue with awareness through digital resources and appropriate communication applications.
