Signs and Symptoms 



The signs occur gradually raging from least harming to serve pain. Early symptoms include:      



 



Fever Photophobia Malaise Conjunctivitis Rhinitis Cough

Found by small spots inside the cheeks that appear 4-5 days after symptoms and 12 days before rash. Body temperature increase from 103-105 degrees. Rash appears on the facial aspect of the individual first and within 24-48 hours spread rapidly on the body. Within 3-5 days the rash settles

CONDITIONS Conditions include:

 Red rash  Sore throat  Pink eye  Headache  Loss of appetite  Fever  Last between 7 to 18 days  Typically, 14 days to the onset of Rash

Measles Measles is an infectious viral disease that causes fever and a red rash all over the skin. This commonly occurs in children. Spread by airborne droplets through the nasal and threat.

TREATMENT Treatment is symptomatic 









The individual should practice bed rest. Best in a dark room to alleviate symptoms. Take medication for fever to cool down. DO NOT take pain killers, aspirin to relieve pain for this may cause more symptoms and problems to arise in the infected child. The child should be kept isolated until rashes dissipates. This disease typically doesn’t last very long if cared for properly and brought to physicians’ attention as soon as possible.

PREVENTION METHODS Some tips that could help prevent the child or individual from getting measles include:  

Get vaccinated for the virus before you get it. If infected stay isolated for measles is contagious during its rash phase



If you know someone who has or had measles don’t make direct contact with them or stand too close to them for, they can still infect you unless you know they are cured for sure.



It is transferred through nasal and throat passages so do not inhale or stand near anything contaminated or unclean for the disease could be looking for a host.
