Board of Directors Election

Rebecca Holden has a new inspirational album. Check it out on www.rebeccaholden.com. Peggy Inks is nominated for the 2009 SGM FanFair Awards. The categories are: Soloist Female Vocalist, Naomi Sego Living Legend Award, and album "Tribute To My Mother". Bev McCann - check out www.sogospelnews.com for Bev McCann, monthly article online. Bev is nominated for Soloist of the Year & Video/DVD "Bev McCann Live" in the SGM FanFair Awards. Royel Clark - Congratulations 20th anniversary for the Texas Gospel Jamboree Shows. God bless with many more! Gayla Earlene and Gene Crain - The ICGMA named Gayla Earlene as 2008 Female Vocalist of the year. Gene Crain is ICGMA Instrumentalist of the year. The Montclair Who's Who listed Gayla Earlene Crain as a 2008 recipient of Award For Distinguished Executives and Professionals with Notable Achievements. Ken Byford - "I'm A Reason" is the 2008 Song Of The Year for the Alabama Country & Gospel Music Association (ACGMA). It's been recently released to Christian Country and Country Gospel radio on GodsChild Records, Nashville, TN, and also to Country radio on Mark Trail Music radio CD. The songwriter is Walter Hammond and the Music Producer is John Rees of GodsChild Records.

The Annual Election of members for the 2009 Board of Directors will be held on Monday, January 12 from 9:30am-10:30am at BMI, 10 Music Square East in Nashville, TN. MCCF members are invited to meet personally with the current Board in the context of a Board meeting. Active members can submit their voting ballot during that time. All ballots and absentee ballots will be counted that day. According to MCCF Bylaws, dues must be current for voting members to participate in this election. Annual membership dues for an “Active” member who is involved in the Entertainment Industry is $40. The “Associate” member dues for a person who is not active in the Industry is $30. A membership application can be copied from our website www.MusicCityChristianFellowship.org and mailed to P O Box 24407 Nashville, TN 37202.

Tim and Kym Couch - Tim sang at Harvest festival at the Open Gate Western Heritage Church (Baptist cowboy church) in SW, LA.

The MCCF is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization chartered in the state of Tennessee in 1980.

Debbie Bennett - #1 with "Mama Didn't Know" (New Ground Music) on TOP 20 Independent Country Gospel Chart and has a new granddaughter!

Mona Faith has been chosen to be included in the 15th edition of the World’s Who’s Who of Women published by the International Centre, Cambridge, England. Selection for inclusion is by recommendation by the Editorial Advisory Board and their Researchers. The achievements and accomplishments of leading women throughout the world are featured in this published record of distinction which will, also, be in the British Library and Library of Congress in Washington, DC.

Music City Christian Fellowship Praying For You Loretta Johnson is still having lots of long (8-10 hour) appointments for doctors, MRI’s, x-rays, EKG’s, blood transfusions, chemotherapy, etc. to treat the Melanoma which has continued to increase. He is very sick - having kidney failure, due to the cancer spreading. Bob is a decorated war veteran with a purple heart. Please pray for God's guidance in this situation for Bob, his wife, Bette, and his family. Kris Miller’s mother, who is terminally ill and fighting cancer for 8 years, has lots of pain. Condolences Danny Dill, NSAI Founder/Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame member, died Oct. 23 at age 84. A native of Huntingdon, TN, Dill is best known for writing classics such as “Long Black Veil” and “Detroit City” A performer on WSM radio and the Grand Ole Opry in the 1940s and 1950s, Dill was one of several songwriters who helped start NSAI in 1967. He was inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1975. Mother of Mike Williams, DJ from WEPG in South Pittsburg, passed away from cancer in November. Cary Tubb, eldest son of Justin and Carolyn Tubb, grandson of Ernest Tubb, was found dead November 27 in a hotel room. Please remember this family and lift them up in prayer, especially Cary's mother, Carolyn.

Sing-A-Long Ministry

Thursday, December 18 Meet for brunch (Dutch treat) at 11:00am at Shoney’s, 301 Long Hollow Pk, Goodlettsville Interstate 65, Exit 97 Long Hollow Pk, go east ½ mile After brunch, visit and sing at 2 nursing homes.  If you are unable to come for brunch, but would like to go to either one or both nursing homes, you can meet us at 12:00 noon at the Shoney's. The first visit will be at Vanco in Goodlettsville. The second visit will be at Imperial Manor in Madison. We will have printed words of Christmas carols to use while walking the hallways and briefly stopping at the residents' rooms to sing. Those wanting to bring guitars to play are welcome to bring them. It is such a blessing to see joy in the faces of the residents and see their gratitude for our taking the time to visit them.
