ACTIVITIES AND VOLUNTEER EVENTS

Homework Helpers: The kids need our help! Tutor local students in subjects ranging from social studies to math. Help children with their homework and inspire them! (EVERY MONDAY NIGHT FROM 1800-2000, EXCEPT 11 and 25 MAY)

ACTIVE DUTY PROGRAM Sat

Special Olympics Track and Field: Special Olympics needs people to be Athlete Escorts. This means you will be buddies with an athlete and go from event to event cheering them on! (SATURDAY, 2 MAY, 0800-1400) BRING A BAG LUNCH. SNACKS AND WATER PROVIDED. (50 VOLUNTEERS MAX)

Feeding America San Diego: Join us on Thursday evening, 21 MAY to help your local food bank. We will be sorting and stocking the food bank to make sure our local San Diegans in need are fed. (THURSDAY, 21 MAY 1800-2000) KIDS ARE WELCOME AGES 6 AND UP. PLEASE INFORM US IF YOU ARE BRINGING A CHILD. (40 VOLUNTEERS MAX)

Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Set up

San Diego River Park Foundation Fashion Valley Clean Up: The ASYMCA is partnering with this foundation to clean up rivers and streams in San Diego. Help keep our San Diego River beds CLEAN! Work clothes recommended. No dogs please. (SATURDAY, 23 MAY 0845-1300). The bus will stop for FAST FOOD after, so bring $if you ride the bus with us. Food Bank Distribution: We have partnered up with the San Diego Food Bank! Volunteers needed for unloading food from a semi-truck for hundreds of families for a free food giveaway. Also needed for set up. Permission needed from your command as it is on a work day. (THURSDAY, 28 MAY 0800-1000) (15 VOLUNTEERS MAX) Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon: With the majority of the proceeds going to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, we will volunteer in the Convention Center the day BEFORE the marathon. Jobs include: - Registration of Participants, Handing out T-shirts and Goodie Bags, Merchandise Assistance, Volunteer Check-in, Info Booth/Rovers, Greeters Entrance/Crowd Control, Traffic Control(SATURDAY, 30 MAY 1230-1830)
