Qualities of Prahalad Nimai Charan Agarwal, Age 7

Prahalad Maharaj is a mahajan (great spiritual leader). He is very tolerant. Like when he was put in fire, thrown from cliffs, stabbed by spears and made to drink poison, he was not affected and never lost faith in the Supreme Lord. He never wished bad for any one, even those who harmed him. He had compassion for all the living entities because he saw them as children of god. Out of sympathy for the needy conditioned souls, he wanted to take them to the spiritual world. When he was put in a demon school he made all the students devotees of the Lord. He taught us that we should be god conscious from childhood and not to waste our time in sense enjoyment. He was always immersed in remembering the Supreme Personality of Godhead Sri Krishna and so Krishna reciprocated by saving him from the great demon Hiranyakashyap. From Prahalad Maharaj’s life we can see that since Krishna was always with him even his father the king of demons couldn’t harm him. We should follow in his footsteps and pray to become like him. Prahalad, the Great Devotee Om Shahi, Age 9

Prahalad was the son of Hiranyakashyap and Kayadhu. He was a pure devotee of Lord Vishnu. Hiranyakaship was furious with his son’s strong devotion towards Lord Vishnu. Once when Hiranyakashyap was about to kill his son, Prahalad, Lord Vishnu mysteriously appeared in the form of Lord Narsimhadeva from a pillar to protect His devotee, Prahalad. Earlier, pleased with Hiranyakashyap’s austere penances Lord Brahma had granted him a boon that he won’t be killed either by a human or a beast, neither inside nor outside, neither during the day nor night, and not by any weapon. Thus Lord Narsimha lifted Hiranyakashipu in his lap and tore apart his body with His long sharp nails at twilight. One who worships God with sincere devotion is always saved and only truth wins. “Narsimhadeva Bhagwan ki Jai”. 1
