Describe your church. -

Our church is a place for people to come and learn more about God. We want people to feel welcomed, like if they're in their own home or better. I want people to know that our church is dedicated to their community.

What are the current problems that your business is facing? And what are some goals you have? -

Currently, we have a goal of trying to get a hundred new members, since over the years we have seen a decline in membership. Additionally, we want a way of connecting with the community. Some people may know that there’s a church here, but many may not know what we do and how we help with the community. Also, information for our services don’t show up on the main church’s website, so we want to make our own.

How is the church currently advertised and how do you reach potential members? -

We have a Facebook page and Instagram. We also rely on current members to tell friends and family about the church and encourage them to come.

How do you think IT can help in providing a solution for the problem you are facing? -

It can help us reach more people. Many people know that there is a church located here, but many don’t know what we do and how we work with the community. A website could help us show people what we do.

Do you have any suggestions for an appropriate IT solution for your problem? -

A website with information about the church. It could include things such as different ministries (music, children’s, and women’s, etc.), contact information, the time of the services and location, and links to our social media accounts. The website can also have pictures of previous events such as the Vacation Bible School that is held during the summer and the annual Christmas party. This website would be used by our Multimedia/

Social Media committee as a possible design and as a model. I don’t want to actually publish the site yet.
