Chapter 10 “The trees were still, the mockingbirds were silent…” • Scout and Jem see a mad dog in the street. • He’s heading towards their house. • Calpurnia calls Mr. Finch. • Atticus kills the mad dog at the first shot.
Chapter 28 “in the darkness a solitary mocker poured out his repertoire” • Jem and Scout are going to the school pageant. • It’s very dark. • A mockingbird is singing his heart out. • He is perched on the Radleys’ tree.
