MINUTES -

Review of last meeting’s minutes -

Dan has received initial availability from MOL Representative to attend April 23 meeting and is working on confirming that date. Re: Ministry of Labour changes and how they affect your workplace Dan to contact WSIB for November meeting Re: WSlB changes and how they affect the workplace Backup topic (may be required for April) Small machine/tool guarding (drill press, grinders, etc.) There are a number of small tools that have been ignored for adequate guarding and members can benefit from available options Action: Members were asked to provide examples of what they have done

Update on System Realignment -

Dan provided two letter prepared by PPHSA that will be going to all Member Firms this week Notice from Paul Andre as the Interim CEO MOL Blitz on MSD for April Stretching Poster example circulated C/Ts to handout full colour poster over the next few weeks. General notice of system realignment activities Executive had a number of good questions, to which there are no firm answers at this point. Dan noted that it will be business as usual until otherwise indicated Opportunities for PPHSA to access other paper related firms is being pursued with PPHSA and WSIB as part of the realignment

Future Branch Event -

Potential for 2010 Spring Branch Event Professional Development Session Some discussion to offer to members as an annual event (Q2 2010) Possible topics: Propane Handling Pre-Start Health & Safety Reviews Dan requested Executive to offer ideas and support in planning such an event.

Other discussion Industry Alerts - Propane Storage Dan recommended members contact their respective product supplier to provide information and training (this should be included Open discussion on the value of Industry Alerts. Members agree to share them as they come across them.
