His life • Marcel was born on March the 22nd in 1923 at Strasbourg, France. • He died on the 22nd of September in 2008 when he was 84 years old in Cahors, Lot, France. • Marcel is French • Father - Charles Mangel • Mother - Anne Werzberg
His studies • Marcel then went on to study in Charles Dullin’s School of dramatic art and mime • His teachers were Joshua Smith and Etienne Decroux.
His performances • Most of his performances were performed as a character called Bip. • Bip starred in many shows such as: Bip the skater Bip the lion tamer Bip and the dating service Bip the soldier
He is famous because…….. • Bip, the clown, has made Marcel one of the most famous in the world. • “The cage”, “Walking Against the Wind”, “The Mask Maker”, and “In the Park” were some of his most famous creations.
