Force Force: To pull or push a thing is called force. For Example, to open a door, to push a cart. Kinds of force: 1. Muscular force : This is the force applied by the muscles 2. Frictional force: This is the force which opposes the motion on one surface to the other surface and applied in the opposite direction of motion. 3. Gravitational force: This is the attraction force of the bodies in the universe. 4. Magnetic force: This is the force applied by the magnet. 5. Electrostatic force: This is the force applied by the charges. Effects of Force: 1. The force brings the object in motion. 2. Force can increase or decrease the speed of a body. 3. Force can change the direction of the moving object. 4. Force can change the shape of an object. Friction is also a type of force which can stop the moving object. In the universe, every body attracts the other body with a force and this force of attraction is known as Gravitational force. The earth moves around the sun due this gravitational force.
