Indexation/Normalisation Indexation A multi-analysis management tool has been included in Malcom to perform an easy and automatic comparison of chromatograms. The indexation proceeds as a “blind” identification by detecting the peaks in common in all the chromatograms of a project, allowing a direct and straightforward similitude evaluation of your analyses. ©

Normalisation Malcom automatically calculates the peak heights ratio matrix in a single click, leading to a “normalisation” of your data in order to overcome relative abundance differences between samples. ©

Data editor Rapid and effective organisation of data is paramount. All data analysis and interpretation results are saved into dedicated spreadsheet-type editors. An easy access to data is achieved using a concise thumbnail system.

It is also possible to perform mathematical operations and statistical evaluations directly from the menu of the data editor. ©

Integration Integration is one of the most important steps in data analysis and consists in determining the area, as well as other measurements on chromatographic peaks (height, retention time, etc.). The Malcom integration tool produces the most accurate results with an improved peak detection capability through proprietary algorithms.

All modifications can be performed directly on the graphs with the mouse (valley positioning, baseline, peak addition and deletion, etc).

The interpretation of oil GC fingerprints allows you to monitor the trends of production in various oil fields and to estimate the allocation of production to individual layers in commingled wells.

The mixture resolution is based on the exact equations corresponding to the physics of the mixtures and on rigorous propagation of the uncertainties. It provides the contribution of different oils in an unknown mixture on the basis of chromatograms of each sample.
