Curley’s wife comes around the end of the stall. She walks very quietly, so that Lennie doesn’t see her. She is wearing a bright cotton dress and mules with red ostrich feathers. Her face is made up and little sausage curls are all in place. She is quite near to him before Lennie looks up and sees her. Medium shot of Curley’s wife sneaking up on Lennie. In a panic, Lennie shovels hay over the puppy and then looks up sullenly. Lennie’s Wife:
What you got there sonny boy?
Lennie:
(Glaring) George says I ain’t to have nothing to do with you – talk to you or nothing
