Let me preface this e-mail by saying I enjoyed working for your organization and I would have never intentionally jeopardized my employment. With that being said, I want you to know that I am not seeking to undermine any associates career, I do not believe in stabbing people in the back and I do not want you to view this as another scathing e-mail from a disgruntled employee. In as much as it displeases me to have to send this e-mail, I am left no choice as I think you need to be made aware of the railroading and/or retaliation tactics that your associates are being subjected to when they apprise superior officers of issues that are out of standard. A month or so back, an AVP sent an e-mail outlining the strict sharing and usage of passwords. On that same day, I called the AVP and expressed my concerns because our team did not have individual access to many systems and we shared many passwords. Although many request for individual access were submitted, the request were not filled. The AVP said he received an e-mail from another associate on my team with the same complaint and he would resolve the issue immediately. Two days after this conversation, my supervisor and a lead called me into a conference room. He had a copy of an e-mail with my name and the other associates name on it. He was livid and obviously unaware of the fact that I have a lecture pen with me at all times. He, without regard to professionalism, carried the profane degradation out in front of the lead and in a
nut shell told me that it wou ld take nothing to have my job or my colleagues job for addressing this behind his back. After this incident, I requested a transfer on two occasions; one was verbal the other via e-mail but seeing as though management works in conjunction with their staff to carry out these occult deals it did not come as a shock to me when my request simply fell of deaf ears. Since that day, I was the subject of an all out witch hunt. Although I closed 80 to 120 issues per day, I was singled out for the most minute issues. My supervisor said I was the only associate with the issues and I had gone so far as to pull copies of other associates with the same issue resolution he was calling me out on. I sent him several e-mails requesting another meeting and he refused to meet with me again. Before all of this, I always had 90 to 100 percent on my audits. When I asked him why we were no longer receiving audits he said he was too busy and the lead was too busy. At the end of the month, I was presented with a loss that occurred in April of 2007. I was written up on this loss, but the supervisor who was a lead in April did not tell his superiors he was using my Newtrak password to close issues and I told him he could have accidently closed this issue just as easily as myself. Last week my supervisor angrily cut me off in a meeting in front of all of the other associates. After the meeting he called me out on the floor and reprimanded me within earshot of the other associates. This reprimand involved the closing of issues asking the firms if they would be so kind as to specify an amount so the issues can be closed with the correct information the first time and he was aware that I was closing the issues in this fashion for sometime. He never said anything about it in the past, but it became a major issue last week. I will forward a copy of that e-mail to you as well. In closing and to add insult to injury, I was reprimanded on the pretense of making racial slurs; an accusation that I emphatically refute. I refute the accusation because I am easily angered at the use of racial epithets in any instance and I do not see how I as an African American associate having a conversation about African American issues with another African American can be accused of making racial slurs. The accuser went so far as to admit that he only over heard a portion of the conversation and he knew the words "black people in this area" and no other race was used in the conversation, but this did not prevent management from escalating the issue as if it were a full blown attack on another race without interviewing a single associate.
