9 To say that we met on one fateful night pretty much sum it up. I was at a mutual friend’s birthday party in one of Tampa, Florida’s upscale party venues, sitting at the far end of a long rectangular table talking with one of my girlfriends, when in walked a very handsome gentleman. After he said “happy birthday” to the birthday girl, he proceeded to stand at the opposite end of the table introducing himself to everyone else. His name is Elliott, and he stopped abruptly when he noticed a blonde haired, blue eyed girl he had never met before. The girl he noticed is me. To my shock and embarrassment, when his brother Jordan, who had been holding a seat for him said, “Hey Elliott, I’ve saved a seat for you right here” Elliott then announced in front of the entire party, “ No that’s ok Jordan, there is a beautiful blonde that I need to get to know, I’ll be sitting next to her tonight.” I guess you can say that that was that. We started dating, fell in love and will be married on May 2, 2009, here in Tampa, just a few blocks away from where we met. Virginia Weaver, formerly of Oneonta

Virginia is the daughter of Walter and Rose Weaver. She attended Oneonta Senior High School graduating in 2001. She then moved to Tampa, Florida to attend the International Academy of Design and Technology to pursue a degree in interior design. Elliott is the son of Daniel and Cyndie Dorsch. After graduating from Berkeley Preparatory school in ‘01 he then attended Princeton University studying French, Spanish and Mandarin Chinese. Upon graduating in 2005 with a degree in history he returned to Tampa to help run his father’s businesses as Vice President of Finance for Fun Bike Center Motor Sports. After her graduation, Virginia stayed in Tampa and now works for UniFirst Corporation where she is among the top five sales representatives in her company. The couple plans to stay in Tampa where they will eventually start a family of their own.
