Native of Ukraine, Liliia started studying piano at age 6. She attended Kherson Music School for the next 8 years and graduated summa cum laude from KMS in 2003. Upon completing music school studies, Liliia entered Kherson Music College where she studied for the next four years. She graduated summa cum laude from KMC in 2007 with the young specialist degree in piano performance. During her studies in Ukraine, Liliia was an active participant and winner in numerous regional and national festivals and competitions. Liliia came to United States in 2008 to pursue her Bachelor of Music degree at Southeastern Louisiana University in Dr. Kenneth Boulton’s studio. While at SLU, she was active as both soloist and accompanist. Liliia was First Prize winner of the 2011 MTNA State Piano Competition (Baton Rouge, LA), and was also awarded Second/Alternate Place in 2012 MTNA Regional Piano competition held in Austin, TX. She graduated cum laude from SLU in December of 2012. In the Fall of 2013, Liliia started her graduate studies under the direction of Dr. Robin Williams at the University of New Orleans. She anticipates graduating with her Masters of Music degree in August of this year, and enjoys performing as both soloist and accompanist in various concerts and festivals.
