INTRODUCTION: Light is a form of energy obtained from the sun. Light is used for the formation of food for the green plants. EXAMPLES: photographic camera, television.bulb etc.. SOURCES OF LIGHT:It is divided into two forms; 1>natural sources 2>artificial sources 1> NATURAL SOURCES:Those sources which emit light itself are called natural resources e.g. sun 2> ARTIFICIAL SOURCES:Those sources which take light from other sources and emit light are called artificial resources.e.g. bulb ,televisionetc.
We know from various examples that light travels in a straight line. This is shown by the following diagram.
The above diagram shows that the light travels in a straight line . Take a candle and light it. Take two hollow tubes . One tube is straight tube and other is bent tube . See firstly from the straight tube we see the light from the candle . Then see from the bent tube we cannot see light . This shows light travels in a straight line. This is called Rectilinear propagation of light. BIBLIOGRAPHY: TEXT BOOK OF SCIENCE OF 7TH CLASS
