In 1977, San Franciscan Gilbert Baker designed and made the first

gay pride rainbow flag. This is a profile of the flags creation and its
label (the one for Jews) instead of pink (the one for gays). In camp he falls in love with his fellow prisoner Horst, who wears his pink

October 23—7 p.m. in MH# 1 THE BRANDON TEENA STORY (1998) Documentary about Brandon Teena (aka Teena Brandon), a transgendered person, who was murdered along with two others in 1993 in rural Nebraska.
October 30—7 p.m. in MH# 1 SERVING IN SILENCE (1995) Col. Margarethe Cammermeyer has served in the army for over twenty years. She's just fallen in love with an artist she's met, she's going for a PhD, and has a job at the VA hospital, as well as in the reserves. During an interview for promotion, she tells the investigator that she is a lesbian. The army begins proceedings to discharge her.
