Level 5 Research Paper Expectations •
This is an argumentative essay, thus it should ARGUE something (not just be informative).
•
It should demonstrate a proficient use of the English Language appropriate to Level 5
•
It should have an introductory paragraph that contains background and thesis.
•
It should contain a body containing reasons and support for the thesis.
•
It should have a conclusion which summaries the paper and ends effectively.
•
It should contain in-text citation (MLA)
•
The last page should be the Works Cited page (MLA)
•
The paper should be between 5-7 pages long. o
•
This does not include the title page and works cited page.
When the final draft is due you will turn in a folder that contains: o
Your outline
o
Your list of sources
o
Your summaries
o
Any and all rough drafts
o
Final draft
o
Writing Center Tutor sheet
