Letter To Prosecutor

Dear District Attorney Larry Chisholm:

Stop the execution of Troy Anthony Davis and call for his freedom from prison and from Georgia's death row. As the prosecuting attorney in this case, you have the power to drop the charges against Troy Davis. You should do so now. Immediately ask the courts to vacate the conviction and death sentence against Troy Davis. Immediately ask the courts to give Troy Davis a new trial. Immediately call for Troy Davis to be freed from prison pending a new trial. This is the only fair course of action because seven of the nine witnesses against Troy Davis recanted their testimony, and because at least five new witnesses identified Mr. Sylvester Coles as the real murderer. Do not execute an innocent man. Do not imprison or punish another innocent black man. Stop this racially bigoted madness now!

In addition, give Troy Davis and his lawyers copies of all police and other government records or information about this case. This information will show that the government railroaded Troy Davis to death row. This information will show that police forced witnesses to lie at trial against Troy Davis. Act now, District Attorney Chisholm.
