Dear Media Partner: The City of Greensboro is preparing to adopt a protocol related to the release of public information to include specific timelines and other guidelines more definitive than state policy governing release of public information. We would like your input on those guidelines at a briefing Monday, N ovember 2, at 2 pm in the Plaza Level Conference Room of the Melvin Municipal Office Building, 300 W. Washington St., Greensboro. As you will see in the attached proposal, the new policy seeks to maintain processes that are working well and provide a process where one was lacking. The proposal also assigns specific time periods for response and/or follows up as well as assigned staff to track requests. Please review the proposal and be prepared to share your thoughts at the meeting. Please advise if you plan to attend, by contacting Cindy Briggs at 373-4599. You may, if you prefer, submit your input via email directly to me at: [email protected]. Sincerely, Denise Turner Assistant City Manager
