As I am com pliance officer for the city, the Mayor designated (upon assum ption of his office) that as part of m y responsibilities as city attorney, I am required to ensure that all public records requests (whether delivered to the council or the adm inistration) are answered. <st1:place w:st="on">Nancy , as city clerk, is the de jure custodian for those records which are in possession of the city, but defers to m e to m ake sure that any request is answered to its required legal sufficiency.
