Liberty University College Republicans Applied Science Hall 112 1971 University Blvd. Lynchburg, VA 24502 LETTER OF SUPPORT TO To Whom It May Concern, Careful analyzation and critical scrutiny of any individual running for elected office is necessary for upholding the civic duty of each citizen and vital for the appropriate direction of the future of our commonwealth and nation. The Liberty University College Republicans, in regard and realization of this imperative concept and right, specifically, exclusively, and expressly endorses candidate Scott Garrett for Delegate of the twenty-third district, Bob McDonnell for the office Governor of the Great Commonwealth of Virginia, Lieutenant Governor Bill Bolling for re-election of that office, and State Senator Ken Cuccinelli for the office of Attorney General. According to their specific internet sites and past presentations, each candidate clearly outlined his platform and his plan for the success and prosperity of the future of Virginia. Scott Garrett, candidate for Delegate of the twenty-third district of Virginia, emphasizes his concern for the economy of the nation and of the commonwealth and specifically details how small businesses are in a state of restraint and regulation of governmental interference and high taxes. Garrett realizes the need for small business is essential for the future prosperity of Virginia and will endeavour to ensure the growth and success of small business. Garrett also realizes the necessity for wisdom of decisions with commonwealth expenditures. He aims to increase the effectiveness of the fiscal decisions in schools across Virginia by working closely with schools and teachers. In addition to the previous issues of Scott Garrett’s platform, Garrett, with years of experience as a medical professional, accentuates the beginning of life at conception and will strive to ensure Pro-Life legislation is passed in Virginia.
Finally, Scott Garrett will encourage less government in the lifes of Virginia residents, taking into consideration that extensive governmental interfernece results in corruption and “bad government.” Also, he has always been a support of marriage between a man and a woman. Bob McDonnell, Republican candidate for Governor in Virginia, makes notice of the crucial and important issues in the minds of the residents of Virginia. Some of these include creating jobs, increasing the efficiency of the Virginia education system, stimulating the growth of energy production in correlation with the spur of new jobs, empowering individuals’ decisions in healthcare, and restrain and limit the budget of the commonwealth of Virginia for more resourceful expenditures. However, these are but a few of the sum of the concerns McDonnell has for the commonwealth. The Lieutenant Governor of Virginia, Bill Bolling, who is running for reelection, demonstrates in his platform the parallel unity of the issues Bob McDonnell has. In conceptualization of this, the collaborative and cooperative potential of effort between these two men is palpable to realize and essential to the future of the Commonwealth of Virginia. State Senator Ken Cuccinelli, in close joint effort with Bob McDonnell and Lieutenant Governor Bill Bolling, understands the severity of the issues delineated in the platforms of the previous two candidates. In addition, he also clearly reinforces and adds to the platform issues regarding the safety of Virginia residents, property rights, United States Constitution second amendment rights, and affairs of veterans and consumers. Again these issues are just a foundation for the overall concern these men have for Virginia residents. The Liberty University College Republicans know the candidates we support and the strength of their character to make an impact for the future of Virginia. The election of all four candidates will ensure the continued success of Virginia and the lifes of its residents. Signed,
