Urbana 2009 Support Letter

Urbana is a student missions conference held in St. Louis from December 27-31 . It calls all who are seeking and called to join God’s mission. I am convinced that this conference will help me to discover and apply the gift(s) that God has graciously given as I take pains in being absorbed in them (1 Timothy 4:14-16) so that all peoples will know the unfathomable riches of Jesus Christ (Ephesians 3:8). God has prepared good works for us all in advance (Ephesians 2:10) and I trust that Urbana will benefit me as well as all who take in it by providing the tools necessary to be the best instrument of God that I can be (Romans 12:1). I am writing to you to share the convictions of my heart and to ask for prayer and support in faith. If it is in the will of God for me to attend this conference I am convinced that it will happen, but how blessed are those who take part of God’s will! $800 is the total for a five day conference including airfare, lodging, and transportation. Above all, I implore you to act according to your heart in Christ Jesus, being cheerful since it is from God in which all things generously flow (2 Corinthians 9:7-8). I am sincerely grateful for the brothers and sisters God has placed in my life to support the breakthrough of Himself in my soul.
