They will be able to write a short paragraph comparing two festivities. Resources: board, markers, guide of exercises, radio, recording. Time

Students arrive at the classroom and have to look for their aprons and put them on.

Every Monday morning the students pray for their personal intentions.

Students will be told about what the lesson is going to be about and what the main objectives are.

Students will be asked to talk about what they learned in the previous session in order to teach the next content based on their previous knowledge. Students will be asked to put their name tags on their table

Pre-listening:

Some of the vocabulary and expressions necessary to understand the tape will be checked on the board. The meanings will be given by the students with the help of the teacher to give context to the words.

While-listening

The recording will be first played one time so that students can get a general idea of the topic of the listening.

Students will be given a guide of several questions to answer and some true or false statements. Students will be allowed to read the guide in silence first so that they know what they are expected to do.

The recording will be played a second time so that students can complete the activity.

The recording will be played a third time so that students can complete the activity in case they have any doubt left.

(Students will be asked if they need the recording to be played a fourth time, due to they usually need to listen to the recording several times).

The answers of the previous activity will be checked orally and also written on the board in order to check spelling.
Writing Activity

Students will be asked to write a paragraph comparing two of their favorite holidays. (Example: New year and Christmas)
