LESSON TITLE AND NUMBER: Training Management, CL3Z11 2. TIME: 6 hours. 3. HOW IT WILL BE TAUGHT: A. BACKGROUND: This period of instruction is designed to familiarize OCS Candidates with the US Army Training Management doctrine. Following this block of instruction the student will be able to explain the Army Training Management Concept, Leader Training responsibilities, and Battle Focus Training. This period will introduce the student to some of the tools that he/she will need to properly manage training in his/her platoon. B. CONDUCT: This block of instruction will be presented as a combination lecture and discussion. Initially, the instructor will present an introduction of the Army Training Management Concept through presentation, discussion, and film clips. The block of instruction will be followed, on another day, with a 25 question Training Management Quiz designed to evaluate the students learning of key training management topics. 4. TERMINAL LEARNING OBJECTIVE: ACTION: A Candidate can explain and apply the theory of the Army’s Training Management and Battle Focus Systems CONDITION: In a classroom, given instruction and access to FM 7-0 and 7-1, and practical exercises.
