What will I do over the course?  Learn how to plan, deliver and evaluate

lessons  Teach each other  Teach Year 7’s  Teach primary pupils  Run a language festival  Create a presentation on the culture of a country using ICT

How will I be assessed?          

There is continuous assessment from the beginning of the course based on …… Attitude Team work Preparation Organisation Feedback Communication Motivation Taking the initiative and 1 hour’s teaching (minimum) will be observed

How long will it take?  The course takes about 30 hours which

you will do in lesson time.  At the end of this you will receive a certificate stating that you have passed the Language Leader Award.

Future benefits  You will have useful skills which employers

and colleges are keen to see.  Previous language leaders have commented on increased confidence and better study skills after having done the course.  You will become a responsible member of the Languages Department and can choose to help in leading events.
