Who Is LEEA? The Lifting Equipment Engineers Association (LEEA) is established across the globe as the leading representative body for all those involved in the lifting industry worldwide.

LEEA Lifting Equipment Engineers Association, represent the lifting equipment industry at the highest levels in International standards

organisations, LEEA has been vital in the preparation and implementation of ARAMCO lifting standards organisations.

LEEA Membership To be eligible for membership a company must be involved in some or all of the listed activities relating to lifting equipment:

Classes of Membership To become a full member, a company must be engaged for profit in the verification of lifting equipment and, in the opinion of the directors, is competent and can give an adequate service.

Development Member An organisation that has been audited but does not yet meet the associations technical requirements

03 Full Member An organisation which meets the Associations Technical Requirements

Associate Member An organisation involved in test, examination or verification of lifting equipment but not for profit e.g. UK Ministry of Defence or service companies not involved in verification e.g. end user training companies

LEEA Accredited User Training LEEA has a training accreditation scheme for end user training

Advantages of Being a Member

Being experts in the industry

Besides being experts in the industry, they offer advice on safety, manufacture, testing, examination, servicing, certification, and supply of lifting equipment. The information provided is always up-to-date with the latest technical, legal, and safety advice.

Promote their Members LEEA promote their Members commercial ventures, and they organise and host prestigious annual LiftEx trade exhibitions. commercial ventures Through the Association, you are able to network formal and informally with other Members that share the same interests.

Working closely with International standards organisations

By working closely with International standards organisations, LEEA represents its members on related matters, to ensure the protection of their Members on a collective basis. Training courses and exams are available, along with technical audits carried out by LEEA staff. They provide advice on how to meet the Association.

Technical Audit Every company that applies for membership must undergo a mandatory assessment. This assessment will determine the initial category of membership that can be offered.

Surveillance -Every 2 years

An offer of membership will be made if the company is a suitable candidate.

Corporate membership fees apply to companies with more than one country that are members Payable once an offer of membership is made Must be cleared prior to any certificates or reports being issued.
