Leadership 4 Growth Delivered by:

transforming Irish industry

Leadership 4 Growth is aimed at: Fundamentally changing the face of the indigenous Software and Technology sector by developing and enhancing the leadership ambition, mindset and capability of its CEOs to help them create companies that achieve dominant market positions.

Leadership 4 Growth is a unique programme specifically designed for CEOs of software services and technology companies who have the ambition and potential to achieve significant scale in their chosen markets.

What is Leadership 4 Growth? It represents an important element of Enterprise Ireland’s overall strategy to accelerate the development of world-class Irish Companies by helping them to build and enhance their leadership capabilities.

This exclusive programme offers a breakthrough opportunity to enhance the impact of leadership on company growth. It has been created by Enterprise Ireland, the Irish Software Association, the world-renowned Stanford Graduate School of Business, with input from software services and technology CEOs, many of whom have benefited from participation on other Enterprise Ireland programmes.

Leadership 4 Growth combines Stanford’s world-class faculty, exposure to and engagement with highly successful entrepreneurs, a unique coaching and mentoring approach and practical strategy execution support that will provide inspiration, knowledge and skills tailored to your specific business.

Benefits to CEOs It can be difficult for you as a CEO of a growing company to make the time to step back from day-to-day operations and consider the vision, strategy and future path of your company. This programme will afford you the opportunity to do just that in the company of your peers and guided by Standford’s leading academic faculty and top practitioners in your field. The aim of the programme is to achieve tangible improvement in company performance through a “top-down” approach driven by revitalised and re-energised CEOs. You will emerge from the programme having gained the following:

• A deeper understanding of strategymaking and strategies to drive global growth based on the latest academic research and best practices; • Frameworks and methodologies for developing the leadership potential of oneself and others; • A customised roadmap to help accelerate implementation of the insights gained during the programme;

• One-to-one coaching from highly experienced coaches with a proven methodology for helping CEOs understand and develop their leadership style leading directly to accelerated achievement of business objectives; • Significant networking opportunities with peer CEOs, as well as Stanford faculty members and other professional and business leaders participating in the programme.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND? Leadership 4 Growth is open only to CEOs of software services and technology companies who are committed to leading their company to a strong international market position. It will be a demanding programme, requiring considerable input from participants both during the three residential modules and in the interim periods when the core concepts of the programme will be implemented in their companies. You must therefore be willing to devote the time and resources required for the rigorous learning and application of programme insights.

Stanford Graduate School of Business

Programme Framework Leadership 4 Growth is quite distinct from other leadership programmes in both its delivery and content. It will be centred around one six-day and two five-day residential modules at the Stanford Graduate School of Business in California. The modules will be led by Stanford faculty members with unparalleled experience in the software, technology and leadership fields. Between modules, you will participate in a structured ongoing programme aimed at implementing your newly-defined leadership goals. The framework for the programme is built around the following elements:

Coach: You will be assigned your own leadership coach who will work with you throughout the programme to encourage, challenge and assist you in implementing the core concepts learned. Focus will be on strengthening and enhancing your individual characteristics and attributes as a leader, within the context of your ambitions for your company.

02. EDUCATE Educate: You will study entrepreneurial leadership theory and case studies and be given practical tools and techniques for creating and communicating company vision, devising and executing company strategy and developing your personal leadership skills.
