LEADERSHIP AND GOVERNANCE

The following activities were developed through the leadership of the school and such was participated in by some community stakeholders: Brigada Eskwela One of the basic goals of every school is to provide students a well and safe learning environment, for it plays a vital role in keeping the condition and motivation of the students while studying. This year, through DepEd Memorandum No. 43 s. 2017, which is the implementing Guidelines on Brigada Eskwela with the theme: "Isang DepEd, Isang Pamayanan, Isang Bayanihan para sa Handa at Ligtas na Paaralan." Guiguinto National Vocational High School – Annex conducted a day-by-day activities from May 15 - 20, 2017 to support Brigada Eskwela. School Heads, Faculty and Staff, Non-Government Organizations (NGO's), Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program benificiaries, Municipal and Barangay officials, students and parents joined hand-in-hand, offering their skills, sharing their time, and providing assistance in kind, and even manpower.

Deworming and WIFA (Weekly Iron Folic Acid) The GNVHS- Annex Clinic Teachers together with the respectable OIC, Mrs. Melissa M. Martin and the school nurse, Mrs. Mylene B. Dela Cruz, RN, MSN organized Deworming and WIFA ( Weekly Iron and Folic Acid) held at the School’s Covered Court last July 17, 2017 while WIFA vitamins supplement distributed three (3) times a week which started on August 28, 2017 and ended on November 17, 2017. Here are the statistical report on Dewormed Grade 7 to Grade 10 students. From Grade 7, there were 301 students out of 332, Grade 8 there were 242 students out of 265, Grade 9 there were 220 students out of 236, and

Grade 10 there were 161 students out of 184, for a total of 924 students. Meanwhile, in WIFA (Weekly Iron and Folic Acid), a total of 469 female students or 90.89% of female school population have received vitamins supplement. In Grade 7, there were 133 students out of 156, in Grade 8 there were 129 students out of 141, in Grade 9 there were 117 students out of 122 and in Grade 10 there were 80 students out of 97.

Senior High School Career Guidance Orientation Guiguinto National Vocational High School-Annex Guidance Office conducted a Senior High School Career Guidance Orientation and Early Registration for School Year 2017 – 2018. It was anchored in the DepEd Memorandum No. 161 s. 2016. It was attended by the Grade 10 students. Some faculty members were invited as speakers of the said event. The school also invited reputable speakers like Ms. Emelita D. San Agustin, PESO Manager, Ms. Emily Mendoza, Mr. Wilfred Cabuhat, Mr. Dale Kyle Laggui, and some GNVHS Senior High representatives to discuss the several Senior High School tracks that the students may enrol for the upcoming year and to guide the students on their career choice. .

Christmas Chorale Last November 10, 2017, Hon. Cezar L. Mendoza held a meeting with the faculty of Guiguinto National Vocational High School – Annex to propose a partnership with the Barangay’s activity, the Chorale Competition. Hon. Cezar Mendoza discussed the objective of the activity. He also mentioned that he envisions every youth in Barangay Malis to actively participate in community-based programs. He further discussed the criteria, mechanics and the schedule of the said activity. The training for the activity would be assisted by their advisers. On the Day 1 of the training,

Hon. Cezar Mendoza sent a distinguished chorale coach, Mr. Al Manuel. Each section performed their choice piece and assigned piece before him, and he gave comments and suggestions on how to improve their performance. The elimination round was held last December 15, 2017 at Guiguinto National Vocational High School – Annex. Parents and other stakeholders were there to witness the performance of their children. Nineteen sections participated and competed during the elimination round. However, only three sections per grade level were selected to compete for the Final round. The final round was held on December 19, 2017. The venue was supposed to be at the Covered Court of Brgy. Malis, but due to the continuous heavy rain, they decided to hold it at Guiguinto National Vocational High School – Annex covered court instead. Hon. Cezar Mendoza invited Sir Al Manuel and his band to serenade the audience. The judges in the said event are: Hon. Cezar Mendoza, Mrs. Melissa Martin, Sir Al Manuel, and Ms. Regine Alvarez.

The school and community stakeholders are working as full partners, which leads to the continual review and improvement of the school's development plan. It aims to keep the school community responsive to emerging needs, opportunities, and challenges to be encountered in the long run. This plan was materialized through the shared leadership of the school and community as follows: Parents’ Orientation and Installation of GPTA Last June 30, 2017, the Guiguinto National Vocational High School held its first General Meeting. It was attended by the parents and guardians of the students. The meeting started at 1:00 p.m. in the respective classrooms. The advisers facilitated the meeting where they discussed the school rules and regulations that must be observed by the students and the corresponding punishment of its negligence. Afterwards, each section elected their homeroom

Parents-Teachers Association. They also proposed some projects which the PTA Officers can contribute. The oathtaking and installation of GPTA officers happened last July 25, 2017. In the said activity, It also discussed the roles and responsibilities of each officer. And they propose some projects for the improvement of the school and the community during their two-action year term.

Indicator 4 A leadership network facilitates communication between and among schools and community leaders for informed decision-making and solving of school-community wide-learning problems. Halamanan Festival In partnership with Barangay Malis, Guiguinto, Bulacan, the school partakes in the street dance and showdown competition on January 19, 2018. The head trainer of the said event is one of the faculty members of the school, Mr. Russel E. Lumidao. The participants consist of the alumni and students of Guiguinto National Vocational High School-Annex.

Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program The community leaders, headed by Ms. Merlyn A. Salonga and Ms. Izette Niña Liz C. Torres support the education of finacially incapable but deserving students of Guiguinto National Vocational High School-Annex. It is through the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program. In return, benefeciaries should adhere to what the program envisions, and should actively participate in the Youth Development System.

Indicator 5 A long term program is in operation that addresses the training and development needs of school and community leaders. A long-term training and development program was facilitated by the community leaders and was participated by the school's teaching and non-teaching force. Seminar on Organic Vegetable Production for the Young Filipino Farmers Ten Agriculture students of Guiguinto National Vocational High School– Annex together with their teachers Mr. Jayson F. Palermo and Mrs. Michelle E. Brila attended a three-day seminar on Organic Vegetable Production for the Young Filipino Farmers last August 21-23, 2017 held at Duran Farm, San Ildefonso, Bulacan. The seminar-training was facilitated by the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) and was sponsored by the office of Senator Grace Poe. Students and teachers were taught to make and prepare different concoction. The Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) also donated farm tools, seeds, vermicompost, and fertilizer thru the help of Guiguinto Municipal Agricultural Office (MAO).

Professional Development Profile of Teachers/ Non-teaching Personnel Teachers/ Non-teaching Personnel undertake training modes that are convenient to them (on-line, off-line modular, group, or home-based) and which do not disrupt their regular functions. Leaders monitor and evaluate their learning progress so that they can improve their teaching and management skills. The Officer-in-charge systematically checks and updates Teachers/ Non-teaching Personnel's Development Profile.
