LAWS OF PERCEPTUAL GROUPING

Proximity The closure the objects to one another they are perceived as a group.

Similarity Elements that are similar in appearance are grouped together. Similarity may be in any characteristic like colour, shape or size.

Continuity We tend to perceive smooth, continuous patterns rather than discontinuous ones.

We perceive 2 lines: 1 wavy & 1 straight

Closure We fill in gaps to create a complete, whole object.

Simplicity We tend to group stimuli in the simplest way.
