LAWCET counselling from Aug. 13 Staff Reporter It will be conducted online at six designated centres GUNTUR: Counselling for admission into three and five-year law courses in all the colleges in Andhra Pradesh will be conducted online at six designated centres from August 13 to 17. Those who had qualified in the LAWCET-2007 need to attend the counselling at any one of the following centres : Hyderabad - OU Centre for Distance Education, Hyderabad; Visakhapatnam - Andhra University, opposite Distance Education Building, Visakhapatnam; Guntur - Acharya Nagarjuna University, Student Centre, Guntur; Tirupati – S.V.University, Old MBA Building, Tirupati; Warangal - Directorate of PG Admissions, Kakatiya University, Warangal; Anantapur - Directorate of Admissions, Sri Krishnadevaraya University, Anantapur. Candidates must produce all certificates in original: (1) LAWCET-2007 Rank Card and Hall Ticket (2) Degree Certificate (3) Memorandum of Marks of Degree or its equivalent /Intermediate or 10+2 (4) Memorandum of Marks of SSC or its equivalent (5) Study Certificate from 9th class to graduation / 6th class to Intermediate (6) Residential Certificate for preceding 7 years of the qualifying examination i.e., Graduation / Intermediate in respect of candidates who had private study without any institutionalised education (7) Integrated Community Certificate issued by the competent authority in case of SC/ST/BC candidates (8) Residence certificate of father or mother for a period of 10 years in Andhra Pradesh excluding the period of their employment outside Andhra Pradesh from M.R.O./Tahsildar in case of Non-local candidates (9) Transfer Certificate, and (10) Three sets of Xerox copies of all certificates and Four recent passport size photographs. Registration fee

Registration fee of Rs.300 has to be paid by OC/BC candidates, while SC/ST students had to pay Rs.150 for counselling. Fee to be paid for university colleges is Rs.1,200 to Rs.3,500/per annum for general seats and Rs.8,000 for self-financed courses/seats. For private unaided colleges, the fee is Rs.8,000. SC/ST/BC-C candidates are exempted from paying tuition fee if their parental income is less than Rs.50,920 per annum. The income certificates issued after 1-1-2007 will alone be accepted. In addition to the income certificates, Candidates have to submit the salary certificate of their parents. Fee shall be remitted in the form of DD drawn in favour of .the Convener, LAWCET-2007 Admissions, payable at Hyderabad or in cash at the Bank counters available in all venues. Fee shall be paid in full at the time of counselling. . Counselling begins at 9 a.m. The candidates under NCC/sports & games/PH/CAP categories must attend for verification and counselling only at PGRR Centre for Distance Education, OU, at 9.00 a.m. on August 14.
