An orange podium at La Tuque 12 hours Enduro-Cross! La Tuque 12 hours Enduro-Cross, QC, May 15th, 16th & 17th, 2009 Last weekend was La Tuque 12 hours d’enduro cross race. This event was divided in 3 rounds of 4 hours each including one during the night. The KTM Canada riders, Patrick Beaulé (KTM 250 XC) and Michel Metcalfe (KTM 250 XC), confirmed their participation only a few days before the event and they were ready to defend their title. After, th st a difficult first lap due to a flat tire and a crash, KTM Canada team had to come back from the 12 position to 1 battling with team #11 KTM Philippe Chaîné (KTM 250 XC-F) and Jérémy Daudelin (KTM 250 XC-F). The rest of the event went really well for team #1 who won all 3 rounds and for a 3rd time the overall 12 hours. Chainé and Daudelin battled hard during the 3 rounds and finally were able to finish in 2nd place. Team JPF, Donald Grenon, Jean-François Houle and Pierre-Luc Desharnais, from KTM dealer Ja-Per-Formance had also a good race on rd their KTM 250 SX. They took the 3 position overall. The only and first ever ladies team with KTM riders Any Lavoie (KTM 150 SX) and Vanessa Marcoux (KTM 125 SX), impressed a lot of people with a 6th place in the technical qualification. For the ATV competition, 2 KTM team rode extremely well. Team # 53, Normand Plante, Gaétan Laroche and Samuel Raymond, from KTM dealer TY Moteurs, finished the event with a well deserve 6th place on their KTM 525 XC ATV. KTM Canada team, Bobby Desjardins, Amélie Lavallée and Philippe Meunier rode for most of the event nd in the top 5 position and even took the 2 position at one point. Unfortunatly, after some problems they lost some time th and positions. They were able to pass some teams and they finished in 7 position on their KTM 505 SX ATV. It’s also important to mention that they scored the 2nd best time in the technical qualification only 0.4 sec. from the 1st time.

KTMPRESS 2 KTM on the podium at Big Rooster event in Vernon, BC! th
PNWMA Series: Big Rooster, Vernon, BC, May 17 , 2009 Sunday was the PNWMA series, Big Rooster event in Vernon, BC and 2 KTM riders dominated this event. Bobby Prochnau was really strong on his KTM 450 XC-F prepared by KTM dealer RTR Performance. He rode really fast st and finished in the 1 position overall. KTM dealer Holeshot Motor Sports rider, Geoff Nelson was right behind Prochnau and crossed the finish line in 2nd position on his KTM 250 XC-W.
Eric Nye ends up in 2nd position at Riviève du Loup arenacross! th
Arenacross: Rivière du Loup, May 16 , 2009 It was an excellent start to the 2009 racing season for the KTM Royal Distributing team. KTM riders Eric Nye and Mason Philips started their Canadian season by participating to the Rivière du Loup Arenacross on Saturday night. The 4000 spectators who attended the event had a really good race with lots of great battles between the top 5 riders. Eric Nye, the CMRC MX2 Champion rode really well on his KTM 250 SX-F and was able to finish in 2nd position. He also won the exciting 4 laps ‘’Dash for Cash’’ race. His teammate, Mason Philips also had a really good race and he th battled hard with JSR for the top positions. Mason crossed the finish line in 4 position on his KTM 250 SX-F.
Great results for KTM riders at Port Perry, ON! CMRC MX Provincial: Port Perry, ON, May 17th, 2009 st
Lots of KTM amateur riders participated at Port Perry CMRC MX race last weekend. Bobby Byers finished 1 in the MX1 and MX2 Intermediate class. In the MX1 Junior class, KTM rider Nathan Bles almost made it on the podium but ended up in 4th position with 1-12 results. KTM dealer Duroy Pièces d’Autos rider, Michael Dasilva had a really good weekend with a 2nd position in the 85cc 12-16 and Super Mini classes. In the Schoolboy category, rd he took the 3 position behind another KTM racer Ryan Derry.

GNCC Bike Series: 7 round Somerset, PA, May 17 , 2009 The Shock Doctor/KTM Factory GNCC Team had a great weekend at the 7th round of the GNCC Series where XC2 rider Kailub Russell lengthened his points lead and XC-1 rider Nate Kanney came from a dead last start to finish th one spot shy of the podium. GNCC ATV Series: 7 round Somerset, PA, May 17 , 2009 Adam McGill came around 2nd in the XC-1 class and passed for the lead shortly after. He led for the first half of the race before Chris Borich caught up and the two began an epic battle that would last through the end of the race. He nd finished in 2 position. In the XC-2 class Josh Kirkland grabbed the $100 Rekluse Holeshot award and began to pull out front and took the win.
