Kings and Kingdoms To my mothers, fathers, brothers, and sisters, Shoshannah 2008

Preface

When I was three years old, I had my very first dream. I dreamed that we were all a bunch of mice, scampering through the underbrush, while a mound out in the center of a field nearby grew slowly into a mountain. While this mound continued to get bigger and bigger, we were very intent on ignoring it, busy, busy, busy. The intense dread continued to mount as we urgently scurried to and fro. At the end, right as I woke up, the mound which had become a huge mountain, finally exploded and I experienced the worst shock, shame and fear that I had ever known. My very first dream was a nightmare, and it became a recurring dream that had disappeared around the age of 7 or 8. By that time, I had become good at waking myself up well in advance of the horrible climax. By the age of 18, I had become very successful at the occult. I didn’t know that the astrology was malignant, or which gods were real. My search was real, but my method landed me in the 6th floor of the hospital for a few weeks, psychotic, schizophrenic, and out of my mind for months. I forgot how to read. That frustrateth the tokens of the liars, and maketh diviners mad; that turneth wise men backward, and maketh their knowledge foolish; Isa 44:25

Recovering was a gift from YHWH. He shortly thereafter showed me the truth of his divine calendar. Ever since I was very young, because of my first dream and Christian upbringing, I had been set on digging out the truth. I thought, if this YHWH is real, isn’t it very serious? My life passion has been fitting the pieces of the mysterious puzzle called life, with a sense of urgency. I went about it in a haphazard way, but sometimes I think He really likes informal or hippy people, their minds are sometimes more open. He who has been forgiven much, loves much. I said all that to say this, I don’t pass along any of the information to follow to condemn anyone. This information is all about the world’s systems. Most of it you know by the Spirit, and don’t need to be taught by anyone, just like the apostle wrote. But here are the highlights of the best materials, cut and pasted, which brought me to my foundational beliefs about the prophecy of the Mark of the Beast. Please substitute the proper Names, which have been stamped out by Rome. Am I still part of the System? Yes. Have I given the Beast a biometric facial scan, do I use a social security number? Yes I have, and do. But this knowledge has led me to homebirth, off grid homesteading, natural healing, and homeschooling. If it takes me a lifetime, I still plan to drop the use of the System, for it is a Satanic system. I pass along the information for your benefit, in case you are able to internalize it, and some people simply and honestly can’t. And I pass it along because, although we are not cult-ish about it whatsoever, we just mind our own business, some people will still choose to not want to live near us. Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you. Matt. 5; 11-12.

The situation we are in is similar to that of the early Christians. According to the following study by Herbert Workman, during the first few centuries of Christianity, Rome also had the attitude of wanting to regulate every area of life through registration and licensing. Christ’s followers responded by not registering with Caesar. If we understand the early Christians’ position of separating from Caesar, we will be better equipped to understand what we must do.

By Herbert B. Workman Considering the issue of their life, imitate their faith; Jesus Christ, the same yesterday, today, and forever. Hebrews 13:7, 8. During the first few centuries after Jesus Christ, a great conflict arose between Rome and Christ’s followers. By Roman theory, the state was the one society that must engross every interest of its residents: religious, social, political and humanitarian. The one possible exception was the family. The state was all and in all, the one organism with a life of its own. Such a theory the Church, as the living kingdom of Jesus, could not possibly accept. The Roman Empire was always jealous of all unregistered clubs and societies. All new societies were required to obtain permission from the emperor or from the senate. Possibly clubs and societies of all sorts were allowed to meet more or less openly, even without a formal license. However, unregistered clubs could be suppressed by the police at any time. The extreme penalty for members of an unregistered club was treason, punishable by death. The Empire became all the more jealous when the Church absolutely refused to register with the State. The Church would not obtain such formal recognition. The great conflict between Rome and Christ’s followers was inevitable. It was the direct result of the genius of Christianity. Romans only wanted Christians to take their part as loyal citizens of the empire, discharging the dues of a citizen. The Christians replied, "We worship no other." Christians would not compromise with the world. They would never bow the knee to the emperors. For the Christian, there was but one Lord and Master, to whom he owed supreme allegiance. He was prepared to prove that allegiance by the renunciation of all things, even his very life.

At the root of the struggle was the conflict between the Emperor of a moment and the King of endless ages. Christians were not persecuted because of their creed, but because of the absoluteness of the Christian faith. They were condemned because of their supreme loyalty to a law and throne outside the Roman law and throne. "We must obey God rather than men," they said. For 200 years, the mere profession that Jesus Christ is Lord was in and of itself a crime. To say that Jesus is Lord was almost the only plea for which there was no forgiveness. In the trial of a Christian, all investigation was dispensed with. All that was necessary for condemnation was confession of the Name. By the third century, emperors were realizing that the Church was not a mere body of anarchists to be rooted out wherever necessary. The Church was fast becoming a rival organization of growing strength and power. The aggressiveness of Christ’s followers was viewed by Rome as a very real threat to their worldwide dominion. By the middle of the third century, the more energetic rulers organized efforts to crush out the Church by the use of all the resources of the state. The police measures taken at Antonines gave place to a civil war without quarter. But, unlike all other civil wars, only one side was armed. Strange to say, this was the side that was ultimately defeated. On the one hand were the immense resources of the Empire, centralized in one supreme will. On the other side was the passive resistance of Christ’s followers, making the State’s massive resources useless. The governing classes persecuted Christianity because they saw clearly its political danger. The lower classes had an intense hatred for the new religion because it was "a thing apart." The two causes of hatred were in reality one - the people hated the Christians’ separateness. The Christians were a peculiar people, with peculiar views of their own. They wore no distinctive garb in the world, yet they were definitely not of the world. "We are supposed to live aloof from crowds," said Tertullian, an early Church leader. Their opponents phrased the matter differently. They are "a people who separate themselves and break away from the rest of mankind." The sincere Christian who tried to follow the Light found many difficulties confronting him. For instance, the relation of the Christian to the business life of the world was no small difficulty. It was hard to find an occupation in which the Christian could engage without compromising with idolatry. Some said that if they did not compromise, they would be cut off from every means of livelihood. Tertullian replied that "faith must despise starvation as much as it despises death." Despite the fact that Christians were shut out of many trades, they won for themselves no small wealth. The Church exalted the value and need to work. In a population bent on "bread and games," where a middle class scarcely existed, an earnest, industrious brotherhood which shunned idleness could not fail to prosper. But the more the Christians prospered, the more they were hated by their neighbors. The most powerful causes of hatred yet remains. The Christians professed that "nothing was

more alien to them than politics." In reality, from the standpoint of the Roman governor, they were intense politicians of a most dangerous type. Christians were not anxious to run counter to the law and customs of the Empire. But if at any time such law and customs came into conflict with the will of God, as interpreted by each individual, they must obey God, rather than men. To the Roman executive, who demanded absolute submission of will and life from all it subjects, such a doctrine was a clear danger to the State. They could not overlook the existence in their midst of a "new people," who proclaimed openly that "they looked for a kingdom." They went so far as to refuse to obey any laws which ran contrary to Christ and daily this third race grew in numbers, influence, and wealth. In practice, Christianity and the Empire proved fundamentally antagonistic. They were rivals in conception and method. Each claimed to be a kingdom of universal sway; each created a Church of universal obligation, each demanded absolute loyalty to its supreme lord. Between Caesar and Christ there could be no compromise. Such were the main causes of the charge against Christianity of "hostility to the state." Persecution was the direct outcome of the Christian doctrine of renunciation. To renounce meant to disown, reject and disclaim. The early Christians were renouncing their allegiance to the Roman Empire and denying any connection to it. The causes that led to popular and official hatred were not theological. They were the outcome of the fundamental tenet of primitive Christianity: that the Christian ceased to be his own master, ceased to have his old environment, ceased to hold his old connections with the state. In everything, he became the bondservant of Jesus Christ. In everything, he owed his supreme allegiance and fealty to the new Empire with Jesus Christ as Head. "We engage in these conflicts as men whose very lives are not our own. . . . We have no master but God," said Tertullian. The martyrs were witnesses to the absoluteness of the Christian faith. The religion of Jesus would have nothing to do with the currently popular practice of compromising with the governments of the world. With sublime audacity the followers of Jesus proclaimed that Christ must be all and in all. Today we suffer from the curse of compromising with the world, which gnaws away at the heart of the Church. The accommodated "Christianity" of today would never have conquered the world. Time after time we find Roman judges striving to draw the martyrs into compromising their beliefs, and thus obtaining their liberty. But the martyrs refused to purchase life by any compromise between their faith and "the world." We need once more to catch the martyr-spirit, a belief in the absoluteness of the Christian faith. The Church is to be "a peculiar people" whose strength does not lie in any blending of light and darkness, but in her renunciation of and aloofness from "the world." Critics have found fault with primitive Christianity for being too unworldly and ascetic, and have pointed to the more excellent means of modern times. But twentieth-century ideals of renunciation would never have effected the gigantic revolution which overthrew the Roman

Empire. The great renunciation of the world by the early Christians did more than anything else to make the Church strong to conquer the world. The martyrs were witnesses to the truth that only by renouncing the world can we really do anything for it. [End of excerpt] Excerpt from book, Persecution in the Early Church, A Chapter in the History of Renunciation, by Herbert B. Workman, written in 1906.

The principle behind the Christians’ refusal to register or obtain a license from Caesar is that the lesser authority never licenses the greater authority. For a Christian to acknowledge that they must seek Caesar’s approval, Caesar’s license, would be to acknowledge Caesar’s authority and lordship over them. And that was exactly Rome’s intent. Their licensing scheme was designed to make Caesar lord over every sphere of life. Early Christians refused Caesar’s licensing programs, not just with words, but with their very lives, proclaiming that Jesus Christ, not Caesar, is Lord. To register anything, including a name, with Caesar, is to acknowledge the lordship of Caesar. Since Jesus is our Lord, we should be registering with God, not Caesar. *End of excerpts taken from the book “Called Out” by Embassy of Heaven.

The hand of the diligent shall bear rule: but the slothful shall be under tribute. (Pr 12:24) “The real destroyers of the liberties of the people is he who spreads among them bounties, donations and benefits.” Plutarch. The desire of the slothful killeth him; for his hands refuse to labour. (Proverbs 21:25) Each time we accept or apply for new bounties, donations and benefits we are consenting by deed or word to the legal authority of that government or body politic. We grant power. Legal systems may ‘conform to law’, they may be ‘permitted by law’, they may even be created by law but they are not law in themselves. They may become law by consent and constructions of law. What is legal is ‘cognizable in courts of law; as distinguished from courts of equity’ which are not ‘governed by rules of law’. It should be clear that any legal system is subject to the prior and essential principles of law. Law

that is basic, fundamental and well established over thousands of years of recorded history. It must be understood that it is consent that makes what is only legally proclaimed, lawfully established. Also it should be apparent that to bind oneself to a legal system that is constantly under the process of change is at least dangerous if not inevitably disastrous. He was a mighty provider before the LORD: wherefore it is said, Even as Nimrod the mighty provider before the LORD. (Genesis 10:9) And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: (II Pe. 2, 2-3.) Take heed to thyself, lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land whither thou goest, lest it be for a snare in the midst of thee: (Exodus 34, 12.) Is it any wonder that you are required to get a permit to build on what you think is your land? You have to get permission, a license, to operate what you believe is your car. If you do not pay the use, tribute or excise tax on your land, auto or labor you will loose them all. Haven’t you lost them already if you do not own them, the use of them? If you lack the right to the benefit or profit of a thing can you say you own it at all? Does anyone have a lawful title? And who has the true title and for what purpose do they have it? You have a legal right to work only if you have applied for and obtained an employee identification number and labor for an employer with an employer identification number. (Let me interject here my own observations. In West Virginia where I was born, the constitution of the State forbids the incorporation of Churches, though this no longer stops them. What is issued to a Church upon incorporation is a Tax ID num ber. This MARKS the particular Church as property of the state, registered with the Head, and the Body is subject to certain restrictions. A tax-exem pt Church is legally unable to speak against public policy, etc. In the united States, Churches were tax IMMUNE, not “exempt” through registration - now that pagan daughter of the whore literally rides the Beast. This nation-wide incorporation of Churches did not come about until the 1950's, and since those days the nation has very obviously stumbled, it is not coincidence... -Shanna) Woe unto you, lawyers! for ye have taken away the key of knowledge: ye entered not in yourselves, and them that were entering in ye hindered. (Lu 11:52) Man’s basic need for government stems from his inability to govern himself. According to the beliefs that have come down to us from antiquity man should be governed by his Divine Creator who wishes to write his laws upon your minds and upon your hearts. But history clearly shows, from Saul to Caesar and Harold to Bill, that men in general have always rejected such a seemingly abstract spiritual relationship with their Creator. They have often opted for a more secular form of government, finding an imagined stability in laws and statutes, whether written

upon stone or parchment, and the charismatic personalities of the world with the comfort of their seducing promises of success, affluence and indulgence.

Nay; but we will have a king over us; (Samuel 8;19) If we will not be ruled by God, then we will be ruled by tyrants. -William Penn. Beware lest you lose the substance by grasping at the shadow. -Aesop. Let their table become a snare before them: and [that which should have been] for [their] welfare, [let it become] a trap. (Ps 69:22) When thou sittest to eat with a ruler, consider diligently what [is] before thee: And put a knife to thy throat, if thou [be] a man given to appetite. Be not desirous of his dainties: for they [are] deceitful meat. (Pr.23:1, 3) Give not sleep to thine eyes, nor slumber to thine eyelids. Deliver thyself as a roe from the hand [of the hunter], and as a bird from the hand of the fowler. Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise: (Pr 6:4, 6) Who was the first beast? Was it Babylon or Rome, or does it matter, for were they not all the same as was Egypt also? At the time of Jesus, Rome as a faltering republic was well into a process of decay. "Of a population of about two million, well-nigh one half were slaves; and, of the rest, the greater part either freedmen and their descendants, or foreigners. Each class contributed its share to the common decay... The free citizens were idle, dissipated, sunken; their chief thoughts of the theater and the arena; and they were mostly supported at the public cost... While, even in the time of Augustus, more than two hundred thousand persons were thus maintained by the State, what of the old Roman stock remained was rapidly decaying, partly from corruption, but chiefly from the increasing cessation of marriage, and the nameless abominations of what remained of family-life." Family values were a chief topic of political rhetoric before every election and during the writing of the new constitution by Augustus. Today the media fills the chief thoughts of the people and those kept at the public cost have peaked. Rome was not an anarchy, but a complex system of laws, regulations and obligations. The burdens that fell upon the average laborer in order to support this burgeoning bureaucracy and apathetic welfare state were immense and they depended upon a complex system of tax collectors and revenue officers. The Gabbai [tax collector], collected the regular dues, which consisted of ground-, income-, and poll-tax and the Mokhes collected tax and duty upon imports and exports; on all that was bought and sold; bridge-money, road-money, harbour-dues, town-dues, etc. They had invented a tax that reached into the life of almost everyone. There were taxes on axles, wheels, pack-animals, pedestrians, roads, highways; on admission to markets; on carriers,

bridges, ships, and quays; on crossing rivers, on dams, on licenses, in short, on such a variety of objects, that even the research of modern scholars has not been able to identify all the names.306 Today, not even certified public accountants can figure all the complexities of the present tax system. "Life and Times of Jesus the Messiah" Bible CD: CHAPTER III. Be not thou [one] of them that strike hands, [or] of them that are sureties for debts. (Pr. 22:26) When the Separatists and pilgrims left the shores of England they said, "Good-bye Babylon. Good-bye Rome." The Common Law and the Holy Bible was the foundation of this Republic in the 1600's. The government's authority was insignificant although it rose from the Common Law of the Land. It is now Roman Law that dominates the legal system and the courts. In Black's law dictionary, found in every law office of the democracy, there is hardly a page that does not make reference to its Latin origins of legal principles. "Civil Law," "Roman Law" and "Roman Civil Law" are convertible phrases, meaning the same system of jurisprudence." Black's 3rd p 332. The Common Law and the Holy Bible have become catch words of the so called radical, extremists and religious fanatics. Such titles of derision have not been so commonly used by the legal authorities in America since the Tories and redcoats went back to George III. A vast social welfare system which has grown up in the United States as well as the burdensome bureaucracy that feeds on and supports it are supported at the public cost. The true productive laborer who carries the weight of this beastly incorporation staggers with no rest in torment under the inflictions of today's Gabbai and Mokhes. It is said that we don't actually do such things as was done in the blood soaked arenas of the coliseums of Rome but is the violence not done in the hearts, streets and homes of our cities. Rome too started with blunted sword and choreographed battles. We can now watch in the comfort of our own homes with fascination and patriotic cheers as missiles crash through the roofs of bunkers in the blood soaked sands of remote deserts. Of course there is no slavery in the United States, or is there? The man who gives me employment, which I must have or suffer, that man is my master, let me call him what I will. Henry George - Social Problems, Ch. V. And he said... He will take your sons, and appoint [them] for himself... And he will appoint him captains over thousands, and captains over fifties; and [will set them]... to reap his harvest, and to make his instruments of war, and instruments of his chariots. And he will take your daughters ... And he will take your fields, and your vineyards, and your oliveyards, [even] the best [of them], and give [them] to his servants. And he will take the tenth of your seed, and of your vineyards, and give to his officers, and to his servants. And he will take your menservants, and your maidservants, and your goodliest young men, and your asses, and put [them] to his work. He will take the tenth of your sheep: and ye shall be his servants. And ye shall cry out in that day because

of your king which ye shall have chosen you; and the LORD will not hear you in that day. (Samuel 8:11, 18) End of excerpts from the book, “Covenants of the Gods” by Gregory Williams, His Holy Church. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

THE WIZARD OF OZ (oz - the appreviation for ounze) A TRIP BETWEEN THE CODED LINES Motion Picture. 1939. Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. Book by L. Frank Baum; Adaptation by Noel Langley; Screenplay by Noel Langley, Florence Ryerson, and Edgar Allan Woolf; Lyrics by E. Y. Harburg; Produced by Melvyn LeRoy; Directed by Victor Fleming. The W izard of Oz, an allegory for the new state of affairs in America in the 1930s following the stock market crash and factual bankruptcy of the US Government immediately thereafter. The Tin Man, or "T-l-N"-Taxpayer identification Number-Man, was a hollow man of metal, a "vessel," or "vehicle" (see vessel, vehicle), newly created commercial code words for the straw man. Just like the Scarecrow/Straw Man had no brain, this Tin Man vessel had no heart. Both were "artificial persons" (see person). One of the definitions of "tin" in Webster's is "counterfeit." The Tin Man also represented the mechanical and heartless aspect of commerce and commercial law. Just like they say in the Mafia: "Nothing personal-it's just business." The Lion, "king of beasts," or "king of the animals" (some members of society regard you and your family and friends as nothing more than animals, "cattle," to be bred and birthed, herded and harvested, and sold and slaughtered according to the whims of those who run the global plantation)-a denigration in itself-representing the once-fearless American people, had lost his courage. After your first round with the UCC-constituted IRS "defending" your T-I-N man dummy corporation vessel/vehicle, individual-employee, public corporation, all-capital letters-written juristic name, artificial-person straw man, you probably lost some of your courage too. You didn't know it, but the IRS has been dealing with you strictly under the laws of Commerce-and just like the Tin Man, Commerce is heartless. To find the Wizard you had to "follow the yellow brick road," i.e. follow the trail of America's stolen gold and you will find the

thief who stole it. When Dorothy Gale and her new friends emerged from the forest they were elated to see Emerald City before them, only a short jaunt away. The Wicked Witch of the West, desperate for the ruby slippers that Dorothy was wearing, would have to make her move before our heroes were inside the walls. A significant point here is that in the original book, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, published in 1900, (39 years earlier), the slippers were not ruby, or red, but silver. At the time the book was written America still had all its gold and silver, and the value of one ounce of gold was set at 15 ounces of silver, silver being the more plentiful of the two metals. Just as the silver slippers carried Dorothy, America's stockpile of silver, and gold, backing the currency carried the country to a position of preeminence throughout the world at that time. But, as mentioned, when the movie came out in 1939 the slippers were not silver, but red. Between 1916 and 1933, most of America's gold was rounded up by the private Federal Reserve Bank and shipped off to Fed owners in England and Germany. The reason for this was that Federal Reserve Notes could be redeemed in gold and the use of Federal Reserve Notes carried an interest penalty that could only be paid in gold. We traded gold for (worthless) paper with green ink on it, and our previous currency, United States Notes, carried no such interest requirement-but such was the bargain that came with the Federal Reserve Notes. When bankruptcy was declared in 1933, Americans were required to turn in all gold coin, gold bullion, and gold certificates by May 1st -May Day (the birthday of Communism in Bavaria in 1776, the birthday of the IRS, and celebrated worldwide as the "International Workers Holiday"-a holy day to the Wizard and his tribe). The Wicked Witch of the West wanted those slippers at any cost and had to move fast before Dorothy and crew could make it to Emerald City. Her tactic was to cover the countryside with poppy flowers, or "poppies" the source of heroin, opium, and morphine, symbolically drugging them into unconsciousness, and then just waltz in and snatch the slippers. In other words, the best way to subjugate the American people and boost the goods was to dull their senses by getting them hooked on

drugs (Note: LSD was created the same year, 1939, by Dr. Albert Hoffman). The poppies/drugs worked on Dorothy, the Lion and Toto, our flesh-and-blood friends, but had no effect on the Scarecrow or the Tin Man, the artificial entities. The two of them cried out for help and Glenda, the Good Witch of the North, answered their prayers with a blanket of snow-i.e. cocaine, a stimulant- nullifying the narcotic effect of the poppies/opium on Dorothy, the Lion and Toto. At this writing, aside from marijuana, the two most available drugs on the streets of America are heroin and cocaine in their various forms. As they all scampered toward Emerald City, the city of green (Federal Reserve Notes, the new fiat "money," or "money by decree"), End of excerpts from article, Wizard of Oz - strawman.

Then the entire assembly rose as a body and brought Jesus before Pilate. They began to accuse him saying, .We found this man perverting our nation, forbidding us to pay taxes to the emperor......Luke Ch. 23, ver. 1 This essay contains three hypotheses. The primary thesis is that, contrary to what most people have been led to believe by their church and government leaders, Jesus did not condone taxation nor endorse the concept of the nation-state when he said .render unto Caesar therefore the things which are Caesar.s.. Throughout recorded history, governments have dealt harshly and often summarily with tax resisters. Here in the United States, due-process requirements and other constitutional safeguards afforded other criminals, as a matter of course, are routinely denied to those who the IRS describes as illegal tax protesters.. Like Pilate, members of the federal judiciary are entirely dependent on the revenues of taxation and brook no pity for those whose words or actions threaten their munificent emoluments and the pillars of their powerful jurisdiction. The Constitution with its Bill of Rights is of no consequence when government revenues are threatened. (See, A Law Unto Itself, by David Burnham, New York, Random House, 1989; and, The Federal Mafia, by Irwin Schiff, Las Vegas, Freedom Books, 1990) It is historically manifest that Pilate would not be cowed by a crowd of agitating Jews into crucifying Jesus against his better judgment, as the four

canonical-Gospel accounts imply. Pilate well knew how to silence such protesters. The renowned Jewish historian, Josephus Flavius (37-95 AD), who was nearly Jesus. contemporary, provided the following account of Pilate.s response to an earlier attempt by a crowd of Jews to intimidate him into acting contrary to his own judgment. The incident is indicative of Pilate.s utter contempt for Jewish law and the Jewish people. But now Pilate, the procurator of Judea, removed the army from Caesarea to Jerusalem, to take their winter quarters there, in order to abolish the Jewish laws...But Pilate undertook to bring a current of water to Jerusalem, and did it with the sacred money, and derived the origin of the stream from a distance of two hundred furlongs. However, the Jews were not pleased with what had been done about this water; and many ten thousands of the people got together, and made a clamor against him, and insisted that he should leave off that design. Some of them also used reproaches, and abused the man, as crowds of such people usually do. So he habited a great number of his soldiers in their habit, who carried daggers under their garments, and sent them to the place where they might surround them. So he bid the Jews himself go away; but they boldly casting reproaches upon him, he gave the soldiers that signal which had been beforehand agreed on; who laid upon them much greater blows than Pilate had commanded them, and equally punished those who were tumultuous and those who were not; nor did they spare them in the least; and since the people were unarmed, and were caught by men prepared for what they were about, there were a great number of them slain by this means, and others of them ran away wounded. And thus an end was put to this sedition. (Antiquities of the Jews, by Josephus Flavius, Book XVIII, Chapter III, Translated by William Whiston in 1737, Nashville, Thomas Nelson Publishers, 1998) The leading Jews of his day believed that Jesus. testimony to the truth threatened their cozy relationship with Rome and they wanted him out of the way. They repeatedly misjudged Jesus. They were often shamed and embarrassed by his words and deeds in front of crowds of people they lusted to impress. They refused to believe that he was the Messiah foretold by the prophets in their ancient Scripture. We refer to the important occasion as the .render-unto-Caesar incident.. It is recounted in all three synoptic Gospels (Mt, Mk, and Lk) with

near unanimity among the three authors regarding what happened and what Jesus said at the time. The nearly identical Gospel accounts suggest the significance of what transpired upon the occasion shouldn.t be lost, and the lessons contained in Jesus. words and action should not be misconstrued. But that is exactly what happened. This essay endeavors to correct a gross distortion of the record that has been perpetrated by most orthodox Bible exegetes, who slander the character of Jesus and pervert an important principle that he espoused by their unfounded misrepresentation of what Jesus said on the occasion of that peculiar incident. The Gospel of Matthew reports numerous encounters between Jesus and his enemies among religionist Jews prior to the render-unto-Caesar incident. (See, Mt 9:3ff, 9:11ff, 9:23ff, 9:34ff, 12:2ff, 12:14ff, 12:22ff, 12:38ff, 13:54ff, 15:1ff, 16:1ff, 19:3ff, 21:l5ff, 21:13ff, 21:45) The Gospels identify his antagonists as scribes, chief priests, elders, Sadducees, Herodians and Pharisees. These frequent encounters between Jesus and his adversaries indicate that they knew first hand what Jesus was teaching, and knew through direct contact more than a little about his character and temperament. His enemies knew that Jesus. teaching regarding taxes was sedition, dangerous to Rome and dangerous to them. Jesus. adversaries were loyal to the Roman state for the advantages it bestowed on them in order to secure their cooperation in subjugating and taxing their fellow Jews of lower estate. When Pontius Pilate hesitated to crucify Jesus at their urging, he asked rhetorically, .Shall I crucify your king?. The chief priests replied emphatically, .We have no king but the emperor.. (Jn: 19-15) The leading Jews were on solid ground in believing they could bring Jesus to grief with the Roman authorities by inducing him to speak his mind on taxes. It was clear where Jesus stood on the issue of taxes from the principles he taught and from explicit comments he had made regarding taxes and tax collectors. They also knew from experience that Jesus would not shrink from expressing his views out of fear for his safety or because his words.the truth--would offend someone. The enemies of Jesus were therefore justifiably confident he would incriminate himself of opposing Rome.s taxes if they could get him to express his opinion on the subject in the presence of potential adverse witnesses. Rome, like every other state, did not tolerate opposition to its

taxes, which financed the empire and the many benefits of Roman citizenship. Then the Pharisees went and plotted to entrap him in what he said. So they sent their disciples to him, along with the Herodians, saying, .Teacher, we know that you are sincere, and teach the way of God in accordance with truth, and show deference to no one; for you do not regard people with partiality. Tell us then, what do you think. Is it lawful to pay taxes to the emperor, or not?. But Jesus, aware of their malice, said, .Why are you putting me to the test, you hypocrites? Show me the coin used for the tax.. And they brought him a denarius. Then he said to them, .Whose head is this, and whose title?. They answered, .The emperor.s.. Then he said to them, .Give therefore to the emperor the things that are the emperor.s, and to God the things that are God.s.. When they heard this they were amazed; and they left him and went away. (Mt 22:15-22) It helps to know what transpired immediately preceding the incident. All three synoptic Gospels concur. As Matthew tells us (21:23ff), Jesus matched wits with the .chief priests and the elders of the people,. and put them to shame when they asked him where he obtained the authority to do what he was doing, which was teaching and healing in the temple precincts. He then told his listeners several parables, which obviously condemned the behavior of the same leaders. .When the chief priests and the Pharisees heard his parables, they realized that he was speaking about them. They wanted to arrest him, but they feared the crowds, because they regarded him as a prophet.. (Mt 21:45-46). The answer .No. would have been in accord with the sympathies of the people (though not with the sympathies of the Pharisees and Herodians who had sent these spies to ensnare Jesus, which is why Jesus called them .hypocrites.). But if Jesus had said .No,. He would have appeared to the Romans as a revolutionary inciting the people to rebellion. Moreover, and this was even more opposed to the intention of Jesus Himself, he would have appeared to His own people as a Messias, anxious to precipitate a revolt and establish a political Jewish kingdom.

On the other hand, if Jesus had given in answer a simple .Yes,. then He would have forfeited the sympathies of His countrymen by seeming to favor the Roman domination over the Jews. To a people whose Messianic hopes were almost entirely political, this would have meant that Jesus was disclaiming any right to the title of Messias. The Whole Story, by Martin J. Healy, S.T.D.,

Jesus. inquisitors probably realized he had condemned Caesar.s tax just as they anticipated he would. However, they also realized that his response, removed from the context of the incident and repeated against him later at a trial before the Roman governor for resisting Rome.s tax, might serve to exonerate rather than convict him. In other words, they worried that Pilate would be bamboozled by Jesus. response in the same way that his interpreters appear to have been bamboozled. That is why his answer so amazed and disconcerted those who thought for sure they would trap him. It certainly helps to explain why so many church exegetes, neglecting to take the character of Jesus into account, have misinterpreted the incident and Jesus. answer. End of excerpts from the e-book, “Jesus of Nazareth, Illegal-tax Protester”, Ned Netterville. What wit and wisdom! What a remarkable Messiah. Render to Caesar what is Caesar’s BUT unto Elohim the things that belong to Elohim. Do children belong to Elohim? We are told to render them unto Caesar while they’re still in the hospital, so that they can be claimed as deductions because the very sweat of our brow is owned by the State. Did SSN’s come about near the time of the Great Depression? If our country was forever after in debt, our Tax ID number surely represents the ownership of citizens as collateral. Today, you must have that number to eat fish from a stream, or a deer from the woods. Think about that. The marriages used to be recorded in the family Bible record pages, until all ministers eventually took State license to act as agents of the State. The first marriage licenses were given by the State so that blacks and whites could intermarry. Now you must render your marriage to Caesar, not to YHWH. Now to automatically every baby born. The only way this could be pulled on Americans was through a slow progression.

In the words of Butch Paugh, “Nobody’s being beheaded over it yet.” That gives me a little wiggle room, relying on the mercy of Yah. I still believe that it’s as good a mark as any. Many things fit the prophecy. Sabbath, High Sabbaths, Torah vs. State Legislation. The Real ID Act, chip implants, etc. But no other Mark has so much information behind it for me personally, than the Tax ID number. I’ve been through all the “revocation and rescinding” documents and procedure study that I can handle. That avenue is too stressful and time consuming to me to be practical, like struggling over endless geneologies. Others may have the time and resources to do it, and right on! But for me, I think a quiet, natural transition is my best bet. If it takes a lifetime, the Hebrew slaves were not freed overnight, but after many trials, tribulations, and wanderings. And I believe that if a person truly cares about this information, YHWH will eventually lead us free. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. Matt. 11:29-30. Jer 23:7 Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that they shall no more say, The LORD liveth, which brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt; Jer 23:8 But, The LORD liveth, which brought up and which led the seed of the house of Israel out of the north country, and from all countries whither I had driven them; and they shall dwell in their own land. The constellation of Andromeda, chained, rescued by the constellation Perseus, who slew the constellation of Hydra the snake, is not of the common Greek myth. It is the story of the pure Bride in chains, rescued by Messiah, who slays the Dragon. Amain.
