Science/Social Studies

In April, we will continue our study of life cycles. Students will learn about trout, frogs, butterflies, and plants. They will have the opportunity to plant their own seed later this month. In light of Earth Day, our class will begin to think about the importance of taking care of our planet. We will brainstorm ways that we can help make the world a better place. We will discuss what it means to be green and why it is important for us to reduce, reuse, and recycle.

Math

Odds and Ends

Our mathematicians have been working hard! This month we will continue to think about numbers to 100. We will also begin our study of two-dimensional and three-dimensional shapes. We will continue review previously taught skills̶counting, base 10, number writing, teen numbers, addition and subtraction.

Our spring celebration will take place on Friday, April 12th. Mrs. LeBlanc will be in touch with families about volunteer opportunities as the date approaches.

The children are becoming experts at counting by 1 s, 2 s, 5 s, and 10 s. Please continue to encourage them to practice counting.
