How it started? In a very simple way a child came to me and asked for money… I said I shall give you much more than that, something you will keep on taking and won't End…

Project to teach street kids at their locations.

The dream for KHOJ originated at Dilli Haat during Dastakaar Mela First center started with kids in Dilli Haat on 26 November 2005 Teaching these kids six days a week. This idea implemented at five more locations.

Objective







Target marginalized and street children to empower their skills, abilities and talents in order to support life in a better way. Inspire community members to share their resources, capacities and knowledge with these children. Promote volunteerism and spread the awareness concerning social responsibility amongst masses.

Achievements    



80 to 90% attendance of children. Hygiene awareness amongst children Change in the opinion of parents and children towards formal education. Acknowledgment and involvement by the residents around the parks and their changing attitudes toward these children. Children are getting admissions in schools.
