DEFINITION : 

Listening is the absorption of meaning of words and sentences by the brain. It leads to the understanding the facts and ideas. Active listening is a method of responding to other that encourages communication as listening is a active process.

Good listeners habits  They look for the idea being presented by he speaker  Listen with the mind, not with the emotions  They concentrate whatsoever the speaker is saying

Hearing V/S Listening 





Listening involves much more than just hearing. Hearing is simply perceiving sound; sound waves strikes the eardrum, sending impulses to the brain. Listening is an active process whereas hearing is an passive process.
