Junior Development Camps 2007

Trials Victoria – Free Junior Development Camps Season 2007 Building on the successes of 2006, Trials Victoria will run four Free Junior Development Camps during Season 2007. Each camp will be held on-site on the day before a regular trial event on the following dates: • Friday April 6 at Glenmaggie from 2pm (no BBQ) • Saturday May 26 at Anakie from noon (free BBQ lunch) • Saturday June 23 at Avenel from noon (free BBQ lunch) • Saturday August 25 at Mt Bolton from noon (free BBQ lunch) The objective of each of the camps is to provide an opportunity for Moto-Trials Juniors to come together to practice and extend their skills in a fun and non-competitive environment. Overnight camping will encourage the community feel of Moto-Trials for Juniors and their families. Juniors will tend to group themselves as follows, and roving coaches, with communication and technical skills targeted to each group, will be on hand to offer advice, guidance and to demonstrate techniques: Group Coach Mini-trials & C Grade or above parent Sub-Juniors Juniors & C+ or above Rider - communication / teaching skills are critical C-Grade to this audience B-Grade & Expert Rider above The schedule of activities for each camp* will be as follows: Noon Free BBQ Lunch for all attending, provided by Trials Vic 12:30 Registration and Scrutineering 12:45 Rider Briefing 1:00 Group Practice and coaching – obstacles, duration and snack/drink & rest breaks selected to suit each group. 5:00 Park Bikes – Self catered Happy Hour & overnight camping * Note the later start time and lack of BBQ lunch at Glenmaggie to allow for travelling time and individual set-up for extended camping at this site.
