PARISH SUPPER WRAP-UP MEETING On Monday, June 29th at 7:30 p.m. we will gather as co-ordinators and leaders to review and plan for the future. This is a great time for us to ensure that our concerns about where we go with creative ideas on building on the present success are discussed. Please bring your ideas and concerns. *Danielle Vaillancourt & Mathew Harper (3) THE TEDDY BEARS OF HOPE: is a campaign of Love and Hope from the children in Canada to children in other parts of the world. Children who are lonely, underprivileged and caught in a web of poverty and despair and to no fault of their own. Delaney Holley is collecting 2000 Teddy Bears (any gently used stuffed animals) and $4000.00 required to transport them to Uganda. S T. F R AN C I S X AV I E R PAR I S H L O T T E RY 2 0 0 9 The 2009 Parish Lottery was an outstanding success! A net profit of approximately $8,822.56 was raised!! We owe a great deal of thanks to Harvey McLaughlin and his team, Pat Claman from Pembroke, and of course you, the parishioners, who worked so diligently to distribute, buy and sell the tickets. Special thanks to all the volunteers who assisted in many different capacities. You know who you are and we want you to know that your involvement was sincerely appreciated. Your willingness to assist made this project so easy for us, the convenors, and greatly contributed to the success the lottery turned out to be. It is very rewarding to call on you for help and get such a positive response! THANK YOU everyone for your tremendous support! It is to make legal Euthanasia and Assisted Suicide in Canada. Considering the present makeup of the government, it will be a very close vote at the second reading which will likely occur before Parliament’s recess on June 23. It is crucial that the vote for life be won at second reading. Please contact our Member of Parliament now, while she can still speak against this bill.
