Technology Fun!!!

ello and welcome 2 graders! My name is Jill Edmonson and I am so excited to be your teacher this year. I am looking forward to getting to know all of you! What you can look forward to this year is learning by doing - what this means is we are going to be working together on things like reading, math, science and social studies by coming up with fun ways to remember things and playing games. At the end of the year, you are going to be able to look back and say – wow, I learned all that!

Technology has become very important and knowing how to use it will help you so much in the future. The types of technology that we will be using in the classroom are: Microsoft word Power point Excel Internet Kid Pix I will be showing you how to use each and every one of these technologies. We will have several projects that will get you involved with these tools. For some projects you will use several technologies to help you come up with the final product that you will then share with the class.

Here are some fun facts about me…I have been teaching 2nd grade for five years and love it. I also love music and yes, I even like Miley Cyrus and the Jonas Brothers ! I really enjoy reading, I read about 30 books with at least 250 pages in each book every year. I also like going to the movies, one of my favorite movies is Finding Nemo.
