Unemployment: Unemployment NYC decreased to 5.0% from 5.4% and up from 5.3% 2007 (5 Boroughs – 5.4%, 5.3%, & 5.8%) Job Growth  Private Sector grew 22,700 jobs (+0.7%)  Non-farm jobs up 23,400 jobs (+0.7%) NYC (not all bad news…) while losing 30,000 jobs  Statewide unemployment – 5.4%  Nationwide unemployment – 5.7%
