Info Session for Spring Break Border Crossing The UCC is organizing a 3 day border-crossing trip for a group of 10 students the second weekend of Spring Break, Friday 3/20 – Sunday 3/22. We will travel to Piedras Negras with the purpose of learning about the maquiladora situation along the U.S.Mexico border and building relationships of solidarity and understanding with our Mexican neighbors. If you are interested, please attend one of our Information Sessions either this Wednesday 1/28 at 7 p.m. in the Mother Teresa Room or next Sunday 2/1 at 9:15 p.m. in the St. Francis Room. Carbos for Christ

Come hear Paulist Father Bruce Nieli speak about St. Paul’s Message for America today. Fr. Nieli is a gifted speaker and retreat leader, giving talks and leading retreat throughout the United States. On this Feast of the Conversion of St. Paul the Apostle, come and hear more about the connection between the spirituality of St. Paul, the Catholic faith, and American culture. The talk will be held in the St. Thomas More Library at 6:30 pm. See you there! Gay and Lesbian Support Group With the encouragement and support of Bishop Aymond, the UCC is forming a support group for Catholic students who identify themselves as gay or lesbian. The purpose of this group is to provide a safe and confidential place for these individuals to meet for discussion, prayer and fellowship. For more information, contact Father Ed Koharchik here at the UCC (512476-7351 x12; [email protected]). Valentine’s Day Fair Trade Chocolate Sale! The Social Justice Team will be selling Fair Trade Chocolate after all the masses on Sunday February 8th for Valentine's Day. There will also be Micah 6 T-shirts for sale for $10.

All are invited for food and fellowship at 12:30 pm on Wednesdays in the Atrium. $3.00 suggested donation. Come break bread with us at Mass then again at lunch! Micah 6 Food Pantry UCC participates in the ecumenical Micah 6 food pantry through donation and volunteering on Thursdays and Saturdays. Many of the people we serve are homeless. Don’t forget our “neighbors” who have nothing during the fall. Please bring canned goods and packaged dry goods to Sunday Mass for the baskets near the fountain. We ask that you continue to support the Micah 6 Food Pantry with your generous donations. Contact Jim Harrington at [email protected] for more information.

Want to be Confirmed? Bishop Aymond will celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation at the UCC on Sunday, April 19 at the 8 p.m. Mass. Any students wishing to be confirmed then should register for weekly classes that will begin on TUESDAY, January 27. Jim Harrington and Deacon John will coordinate the gatherings. The online confirmation registration form is found at www.utcatholic.org. There is no fee, and all registrants will need to provide their baptismal certificates. Our Gifts to God Our sincere apologies! Our business office is still catching up from the Christmas break. Today, Fr. Steve Bell, CSP will be at all Masses to discuss the Paulist Appeal. University Graduate Students & Professionals- UGAP invites all grad students and recently gradated young adults to join us on Tuesday nights at the UCC. We will meet in the Atrium of the UCC at 7pm.
