I would like to start by thanking Sherry Haas for doing such a great job in 2008 as our BEAR President. Also, thank you to Bob Schmidt and Carla Bonten for their years of service that they have given to BEAR. I would like to share with you my goals for 2009. First, I would like to show our affiliates how much we appreciate them by asking you to do business with them. They support us and we MUST support them. Secondly, I will focus on unity and partnership with our neighboring boards. I would like to join forces with our educational programs, data sharing, and to have consistent lockboxes throughout SW FL. We have bridges between us and we will begin to work on crossing them. And finally, Bill Barnes and I will bring BEAR to you! We have begun to attend your sales meetings and listen to your needs. In conclusion, I would like to wish everyone a New Year of health and happiness. Let’s go out and be positive! Let’s educate our clients with positive thoughts. There has never been a better time to buy!!!

The Naples Area Board of Realtors® is no longer participating in the MLS Alliance; this does not affect BEAR MLS members. Good News! Since the activation of the Foreclosure Rescue Fraud Prevention Act (F.S. 501.1377) on October 1, questions have risen regarding the new law’s relationship to Realtors® participating in short sales.
