4.1 General Requirements

4.2 Environmental Policy Top management shall define the environmental policy:  Appropriate to the nature, scale and environmental impacts of its activities  Commitment to continual improvement & compliance with applicable legal requirements.  Setting up and reviewing environmental objectives& targets  Documented, implemented and maintained  Communicated to all persons working for or on behalf of the organization & available to the public 8

It stresses strict compliance of all applicable rules and regulations, maximizing resource utilization and reduction in waste generation. 4.4.7 Emergency preparedness and response 1. The organization shall respond to actual emergency situations and accidents and prevent or mitigate associated adverse environmental impacts. 3. Periodically review, revise the emergency preparedness including response procedures in particular after the occurrence of accidents or emergency situations. 4.
