When: Courses are held over a 3 day period. Starting time is 9.00am and concludes at approximately 4.30pm. Where: Our Training Complex is at 39 Jackson Street, Glenorchy. Parking is across the road at 24 Jackson Street. This is off Chapel Street and is on the right hand-side before the Glenorchy City Council Refuse Site (tip). Please note that training may be conducted at an alternate site, confirmation will be sent prior to the course dates. Cost: $795.00 per applicant. Items covered: • Introduction to excavator • Pre checks to excavator • Site assessment • Operational procedure • How to operate an excavator • Post checks • OH&S • Load restraints • Theory test • All training, assessment and Licence Fee. Upon completion the trainee will receive a Statement of Attainment to say he/she has completed this course. And if successful in the assessment, an excavator licence endorsed by CCF Australia. This fee is payable on commencement of training if it is a private booking. A deposit of $250.00 is required to secure your place. If you are completing the course through an employment agency or company a signed purchase order and booking agreement must have been received by OnRoad OffRoad before commencement of training. Funding is available for eligible job seekers on intensive assistance, which may cover 100% of the course cost. Please contact your employment agency for details. Alternatively: Courses can be run from your work site at a time that suits you. Please enquire about discounts for group bookings. Surcharges apply for outside metro areas. On our site equipment - fee negotiable. Requirements: We require applicants to be over the age of 19 years. Appropriate clothing and sandshoes or boots (no open-toed footwear). All safety and training equipment is provided by OnRoad OffRoad. Applicants must also bring current photo-ID (driver’s licence or student card).

Refreshments are provided for morning and afternoon tea. A break of one hour is provided for lunch during each day of training. There are many take-away stores nearby, although trainees can bring lunch with them if desired. A Workbook is provided to assist trainees throughout the course. This is used, together with, instructions from the trainer to ensure that each applicant has a thorough understanding of the material demonstrated. The course is designed for a broad range of applicants. Each course is limited to a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 6 trainees. Group bookings are welcome. Think you can already do this? Assessment-only Programs.  You must have completed at least 40 hours on an excavator We have a program especially designed to recognise your prior learning (RPL) and move you straight into the assessment phase of the course. Assessment for excavator qualifications is $395. Refunds: What if you cancel, What if we cancel? Our Cancellation To ensure participants receive maximum benefit from training courses, we reserve the right to defer a course with less than four participants enrolled. In this case, all fees will be refunded or a participant may select to transfer to a course at a later date. Your Cancellation Registrations cancelled by the participant up to seven days prior to the course may have any monies paid refunded in full or be transferred to an alternative course. A 50% cancellation fee or loss of deposit ($150.00) may apply for notice given less than seven days unless medical or other reasonable evidence is provided. Any monies paid in advance will be held and not allocated until completion of the course or as per the above. Nationally Recognised Training OnRoad OffRoad is a registered training organisation with the Tasmanian Qualifications Authority. To get this status, OnRoad OffRoad has undertaken a thorough review of all its training operations to meet national quality standards for training. Upon completion participants receive a statement of attainment with the unit(s) of competency covered. We have a comprehensive complaints procedure and a strict Code of Practice.
